I posted this thread on the Cleveland forum and just realized it might be more appropriate here. Any thoughts on the possiblility of pairing King James with KG?
Good possibility. It looks like Lebron might not be leaving Cleveland after all. Theyre was talk of him going to Chicago in 07. Or New York if they could clean it up but they just made things worse. KG in Cleveland would work but i duno how they would be able to get Garnett. Anybody got trade ideas? maybe Illgauskas and Hughes or a First Rounder for KG?
First, there is basically no way for James to leave Cavs, because unless James shows his intention to leave Cavs in public and risking two years of potential career ending injuries, he will most likely sign with Cavs for max. Current rookie contracts are extremely favoring a team to resign own rookies. Second, Cavs really have nothing to offer for KG. If Wolves ever trade KG, that means they will completely rebuild from the ground, and there is no way for them to receive Hughes and his overpriced/long contract or Big Z, who's pretty old to be in a rebuilding team...
There is no way possible for the Cavs to get KG. KG is one of the best players in the NBA but he is aging. Why would you give up the second coming of MJ for KG? that is honestly the only way that the cavs have a chance at KG. Why exactly would the T'Wolves settle for Drew Gooden, Ira Newble,Donyell Marshall and two first rounders for the Best player that their franchise will ever see? Not possible
