The only person that should be booing Michael Finley is Erick Dampier.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting kingrex:</div><div class="quote_post">I guess there are ignorant fans in every city who follow whatever their star player says.

Did you see the post game interview with Dirk where he pretty much said he was kidding when he said that and never expected the fans to blindly do what he said?

Poor Fin wanted to stay in Dallas, but because of salary-economics got the boot. Not a fitting end for a consumate professional.</div>Exactly. But these athletes have to realize that these fans are clinging to their every word. When the biggest star in Dallas even jokes that it's alright, it's gonna make the fans think it's fine.

Jim Thome came back to Cleveland this year for the first time, and was booed unmercifully by the fans that he gave his life to for 10+ years. The next night, I went to the game only to cheer Thome, but he didn't play that game. It hurt him, and I'm sure it hurt Fin. I just felt bad for the guy. He's always been a good guy in the NBA, and he didn't deserve that.

Did you see the press conference after tonights game? Ouch. He sure let Dallas have it, and the sad thing is that all he did was tell it like it is/was. What did the five fingers say to the face....?

Finley deserves more than he has gotten in this series, and as a long time Mavs fan, he deserved to be in a Mavs uniform as they celebrated a playoff series victory against the Spurs.

Unfortunate casualty of the NBA amnesty rule.

    Good luck to the Fin-dog.
