http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/featu...ge=lineup/index Apparently ESPN.com voters think that the All-time Bulls team is better than the All-time Celtics team. That has to be the most amazingly stupid thing I've ever seen.
Yeah, how can you even say that? OK... the Bulls have MJ and that is just about it off the top of my head. The Celtics have... way to many to name. Come on now ESPN!
Dont the celtics have like 16 championships or something?i mean i think the lakers all time are better than the bulls all time.
The worst players on that Celtics team are probably Paul Pierce and Jojo White and those two are far and away better than everyone on Chicagos team except MJ, Pippen and Dennis Rodman
Uh guys...it's not ESPN...its the voters who vote on ESPN.com. The columnists on ESPN aren't that dumb. The difference was only by 2% though. Still, the Celtics should have won by a considerable margin.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting P.A.P.:</div><div class="quote_post">Uh guys...it's not ESPN...its the voters who vote on ESPN.com. The columnists on ESPN aren't that dumb. Most of the people who go to ESPN will forever have a bias for Jordan, since they're mostly not old enough to remember any Celtic great other than Bird. Ben Gordon is an All-Time Bull already. :lol;
Disgust. "In other words, I was up in clout And from the curb I need to pull a Larry Bird fore I'm up and out"
People are so stupid. Just because The Bulls were Jordan's team doesn't mean they are the best. The Celtics have been a dominate team for decades and has had many great players. You can't even begin to compare Chicago to Boston. The only team that is close to The Celtics all time team is Los Angeles and IMO Boston is still far superior.
That Suns team could possibly be the most entertaining thing you could ever see. They'd score 150 a night.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Flow:</div><div class="quote_post">But if you compare the all-time lineups then the LA's lineup is better IMOOOOO.</div>Sure, I can accept that. But this thread is about the voters saying the Bulls have a better all-time team, which is beyond belief.
When people think of the history of the Bulls, no offense, but they instantly think MJ. They assume Chicago history can take on any historic franchise.
The celtics have such a better team, you cant even compare the two . The only all-time team you can compare to the Celtics are the Lakers.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Brian:</div><div class="quote_post">apparently espn thinks that mj can single handidly dominate the celtics</div> I'd put my money on Jordan
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting hustler:</div><div class="quote_post"> wow ESPN is retarded.</div> Even this is an understatement. The Celtics boast Bill Russel, Bob Cousy, Sam Jones, John "Hondo" Havileck, Larry Bird, Robert Parish, Bill Walton, and countless others. Russell: 11 rings Jordan: 6 rings If ESPN had counted the total amount of championships and rings, the Celtics would have swept the Bulls in a landslide. I guess it is the fans who are either retarded or just plain ignorant.
I don't think there's any way to quantify any of these things anyway. I think the sports enterprise needs to start coming up with new talking points. Baseball has a good thing going with all the new research that's being put into the game (SABRmetrics anyone?), but basketball still has these retarded arguments.
