I have a feeling the Raps will go for either Carney or M. Williams.

I think if Rudy Gay or Bargiani(spelling?) are still available then we take one of the two. If not Brandon Roy or Carney... I feel like Colangelo will make the right decision.

since this year's draft class is weak

i think it might be a good idea to trade for a decent player (bench) or two

eg) rasual butler (underrated defender with 3), jared jeffries (not likely to get him but if he does he can cover all positions except PG...i saw him play centre vs cleveland in 1st round...he was crazy...but of course....PF, SF, SG would be the area you can use him the most), jumaine jones (he is likely to leave charlotte...would be nice to get him at a low price)

I say take Rudy Gay, Rodney Carney or Brandon Roy if they're still available. You guys are pretty much set at PF and C, and if Mike James is coming back, you have PG covered too.

I think we should try to move up to get Lamarcus Aldridge. He is a banger plays inside atheletic can be shotblocker pretty good rebounder can man the C for us or Bargani to create the unmatchable front court that is definetly not prototypical but good.

i dont know what you're smoking, but can i please have some? james is not comming back, and we're probably the farthest thing from set at center.

just because detroit is losing to cleveland in playoffs doesn't mean you have to make such a crazy statement[IMG]

toronto set at centre? since when?

the only thing legitimate about Toronto and centre is Air canada centre
and i will be very surprised if the "allstar" Mike james will be back

Just cuz Phoenix lost last night doesn't mean you can make crazy statements like that.....a top 5 pick for Jumaine Jones or Jeffries?!?!?!?!?!?! Man I smoke the chronic out here in BC but whatever you're smoking must be ten times as good. Yes the draft is 'weak' but weak means later on...not the top 5. We have a chance to draft a potential game breaker in the top 5 and you want a bench player?! Happy smoke trails~!

    thought this was interesting:
    http://www.hoopshype.com/draft_rumors.htm

It basically says that Bargnani has said that he will probably stay in Italy next year unless he is picked by the Raptors.

Even if we pick him, what are we going to do with him? Hes a PF, and he cannot play C

I've always thought that Toronto should have had an edge in recruiting players from overseas. This city's probably the most multicultural in North America and people tend to describe it as a more "European" city. It's a shame Colangelo's the first GM to actually take advantage of it.

The Raptors have just hired the GM of Andrea Bargnani's team in Europe as there assistant GM. Obviously that has led to speculation that the Raps number 1 choice is to draft Bargnani. I think that this makes a lot of sense. Firstly, a lot of European players find Canada more favourable a place to play then the U.S., which almost no American players do. Secondly, mfor people who question where he will play, he is 6'11 and is a very good 3 point shooter who can run the break and is athletic, very similiar to Charlie V. You can not really put a player like Villanueva or Bargnani in a set postition, there just very good players. I think Bargnani can rotate between the 3,4 and 5 postions as there is no doubt our biggest need is for another big man. With CB4, CV31 and Barnani, that is one hell of a frontcourt that can develop together for years and will be very tough to compete with. Remember to that Bargnani does not have to start right away, he can sub in with Chris and Charlie.
