<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Cold Eclipse:</div><div class="quote_post">You can throw D.Miles back to Portland. The guy is way overrated with just athleticism and no jumpshot whatsoever. As for a WCF/NBA title. Slim possibility, but needs more adjustments.</div>

I added Miles to my trade suggestion for cap reasons only, and besides that, that's one more incentive for Portland to pull the trigger; they desperately want to get rid of him. I wouldn't mind him on the Grizzlies as long as he keeps his attitude in check. I'm not suggesting we start him or give him significant minutes, but a 8-12 minute role off the bench couldn't hurt anything. If he winds up being a distraction, we could always just cut him.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I just read that the Cavs' may be shopping Ilgauskas. He is a legit center with some injury problems in the past (feet I think). I think he would be a decent guy to throw down next to Gasol who could put up 15 pts 10 rebs. easy a night. Would Mike Miller and SaT w/ Wright be enough or too much?</div>

I don't like the idea of bringing in Ilgauskas because of his age and his history of injuries. He would have been ideal this season to play with Gasol in the paint, and he'd probably make for one hell of a starting center next season as well, but that's a very short-term solution. However, if we don't give up Miller, I'd be completely open to the possibility. Let's say we give up Brian Cardinal, Damon Stoudamire, and Hakim Warrick in the deal; everyone is satisfied. Cleveland gets the point guard they've been looking for as well as a young prospect in Warrick. We could even throw in the first round pick if that'd make it more enticing for the Cavs.

Why would you wanna touch Randolf's contract....yuck. I think its time Memphis blows this team up. Its time to realize that Pau Gasol is a great tier 3 player, but nothing more. He isn't a superstar ie. Lebron, KG, Kobe...and he isn't a perrenial allstar or even young allstar like Vince Carter, Disco Dirk, or even Chris Bosh. He isn't a franchise player.....0-12 in the postseason says it all.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting shapecity:</div><div class="quote_post">Actually the 2007 free agent market has a lot of star potential.

The following players have the ability to opt out of their current deals:

    Vince Carter
    Chauncey Billups
    Paul Pierce
    Gerald Wallace
    Dirk Nowitzki
    Mike Bibby
    Rashard Lewis
    Antawn Jamison</div>
As well as any player who was in the 03 draft. Wade, Lebron, Bosh, Anthony.

If they do that trade with the blazers than they will look like the old blazers without bonzi wells and rasheed.

Randolph's contract is what he deserves when he plays to his full potential. He's easily one of the top ten or fifteen big men in the league and a reliable 20/10 option in the post; the only problem with him is keeping his attitude in check, which a change in scenery could help with.

And what do you mean by "tier 3 player, but nothing more"? What exactly is a "tier 3 player"? He's definitely perennial All-Star material, and it's funny that you consider Carter (29 years old) and Nowitzki (soon to be 28 years old) as "young allstar(s)." Gasol, on the other hand, is only 25 years old. As for the 0-12 in the postseason stat, how about Chris Bosh's amazing 0-0? I'll take 0-12 over 0-0, thank you.
