Fran was 22 at the time of the draft so he didn't have any choice. I think the Magic should try to trade his draft rights for a 2nd rounder.</div> That goes for people over-seas too? That's just stupid.. Since when did the international players become like the college players?
Well i mean our frontline is set with Dwight and Darko as our PF and C and i believe they can be the dominant two in the front line right now i feel we should try to up our wings a lot more and we have a championship contender. Fran is right now the odd man out after they got darko. We don't need him any more he is older then dwight and darko yet worse. Leave him over there let him develop like kristic and just let him develop.

I'm not saying he's better than either of them, but who knows, he might be.
I've seen a bit of him play he is not nearly as talented as Darko or Dwight and does not have a great game. He is like Kristic interms of what he can do kind of. He could be our big man of the bench with time plus i see darko as dwight as the two new budding starts that will take us to the championship and they are if we continue to draft and trade well. Darko is finally motivated and will work hard this summer in terms of his game
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Orlando received the No. 11 pick after finishing with the same record last season (36-46) and selected Spanish forward Fran Vazquez, who elected to remain in Spain to play. The club holds his NBA rights. Smith said Assistant General Manager Dave Twardzik met with Vazquez recently in Spain. Although Smith doesn't expect him to play for the Magic next season, he is optimistic Vazquez will join Orlando "the following season [2007-08], for sure." The Magic, gearing up for the 2007 offseason, are not expected to make a big splash in free agency and will be cost-conscious. They likely will decide to keep either veteran reserve Bo Outlaw or Stacey Augmon and probably will not match offers for restricted free-agent forward Trevor Ariza that climb past the minimum.</div> Fran in 2007 Found this interesting comment in Chad Ford's chat today ... <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I hear the Magic may be trying to move up in the draft to get a better shot at Roy. Offering their pick and the draft rights to Vasquez may do it in this draft ... especially for a team like the Hawks who like Vasquez and could get a point guard later in the draft. </div> The Magic would likely draft Brandon Roy if they can move up to Atlanta's position. The Hawks would get Marcus Williams, Foye or Farmar with Orlando's pick.

He'd be a very valuable role player, IMO and I would match the offer as long as it's like 2-3 million or less, not the minimum though. Where do I sign up for the 2nd part. Brandon Roy in Orlando would be a dream come true for me. He's gonna be the next Josh Howard, does everything well, but nothing great.
