"Kobe should watch and learn?" And anyway, LBJ has so many players to hope for, if Kobe puts up only 4 pts at halftime, then only a miracle from Lamar could save them from being behind by 25 or smth. LBJ is a superstar and very atheltic and young player. But he isn't better than Kobe. It's seems like this writer was drunk or he really hates Kobe, I mean some parts of the story were true, but those sayings like: "Kobe should watch and learn" etc - CRAP. Lebron should learn some defense from Kobe, he can steal and block but he can't hold his player for 2 or 4 pts. BTW: Again, i'm from Estonia so I think that there are many mistakes in my post so don't be very angry at me !

kobe is way better than lebron. how can he say that when lebron his only his 3rd year? this is sure to start up some contraversy.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">kobe is way better than lebron.</div> you can make an argument that kobe is better (which I tend to disagree with), but if he is better it isn't by much.....while Kobe is the better defender, Bron is the better passer and rebounder and floor general.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TimmyDMVP:</div><div class="quote_post">Last time i checked LBJ has two triple doubles already and is still in the playoffs</div>Yeah, I know that. Ofcourse is great, he's very great. But stats aren't everything. And if you look the players who are around LeBron and compare them with the playas around Kobe... It's quite a pointless to argue between them who's better or smth. I think that Kobe is the best player in the league, then comes Dirk and then comes a 21-year old KING. Nash is the most valuable, and he got the award too. What should have gone to him anyway imo. BTW THE DREAM is right. If Kobe is better (he is) than yeah not by much. And I agree with the other "facts" in his post, too.(Y)
Wait how many championships does Lebron have? How many MVP's? How many scoring tittles? Dwane Wade is better than Lebron. Here is you answer: None, Niet, Nada, Zero.
Here is the deal: Both guys are clearly in what I like to call the top five (along with Duncan, Garnett, and Wade). And what is happening is the very second one of them does something great and the other fails at some task or the other then the sportwriters see it as an opportunity to raise their favorite player over the player they feel most threatens their players rise to the top. When Kobe hit that remarkable 81 in one game the Kobe fans (and even some of the haters) wrote some articles in favour of Kobe, elevating him above the play of others (although Kobe's 81 was still double-edged enough for some to write unfavourably of). Then Lebron started missing or not taking last minute shots and free-throws and he became the anti-clutch. The point is... this is to be expected. When Kobe had pushed the Lakers to a 3-1 lead against the Suns where were the haters? They had to shut up. When that lead dissolved they went back to blasting him.

Ofcourse, Kobe's maybe the best clutch player. After Reggie, MJ. MJ's clutch shots were in the finals, and not to forget the 97 'chip winning shot. Okay, i'm making serious offtopic now... I will shut up.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">then comes Dirk </div> Dirk is great, but it really irks me that he doesn't have a post up game....I'll take When healthy Duncan, Nash, TMac, Wade, Stoudamire, James, Billups, Garnett and maybe a couple of more >>> Dirk
Billups and Amare aren't better than Dirk imo. But then, whe don't know have good will Amare be if he can finally fully recover from that injury.
Guys, you are going off topic, thought this thread was bout praising lebron, hating kobe or w/e ;P Anyway, the writer is a lil dumb, or he's just after a controversial story that will draw attention so he doesnt loose his job.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting kobe23:</div><div class="quote_post">hey... here's a question for you who is the focus of the cav's offense??? le bron and what is the offence of the lakers? isnt it the triangle that GIVES EVERYBODY A CHANCE AT THE BALL... that explains lebrons triple doubles plus lebron is big that's why he could rebound</div> Well Kobe took about 300 more shots than LeBron this season. I think the Lakers' offense runs around Kobe more than it does in Cleveland. Giving everybody a chance at the ball doesn't mean they will shoot it. After all, the ball will come back to Kobe and Kobe ends up shooting it. And he makes that 45% of the time. I can't say LeBron is better than Kobe tho. Kobe is surely the best player but I don't think that order will last that long. LeBron in near future will claim the NBA's best player throne.
This is a totally biased article. You have to take into consideration that Kobe doesn't have the greatest shooters around him. Just because he has little assists, doesn't mean he doesn't pass the ball. Lebron gets all those assists because he has good shooters around him. I bet if the Cavs had a sup-par cast around him, his assists would drop dramatically. Columinsts fail, as usual, to look what Kobe has around him compared to Lebron.
Yeah. Cause if Kobe tries to share the ball with his team. His teammates will get confused and will just give it back to Kobe. Kobe has so much pressure on his shoulders and before every game he has to think that if he doesn't score 30+, Lakers will lose. Ofcourse if Lamar plays the same good as he played in the first round... Let's wait and see. But yeah this writer is a Kobe hater.

Lebron has a very good supporting cast, far better than Kobe's. Marshall is an excellent shooter w/ a good post game, Ilgauskas isn't really overrated, there's a reason why he has been on the all star team, Larry Hughes is a very good defender and 20+ automatic points when healthy, Damon Jones is also a very good spot up shooter. Add in a spark off the bench (Murray), and some hustlers, and you have = a very good supporting cast. However, I personally believe Kobe's teammates have gotten better over the course of the year since the first 50 games, but the big difference is that Lebron's teammates come through when the team needs it most, Kobe's does not.
