<font color=""Red"">MVP - Kobe Bryant :</font> self explanatory. 62 points in 3 quarters, 81 point game. his name is kobe bryant. need is say more?

<font color=""red"">ROY - Ronny Turiaf :</font> although bynum was the 10th overall pick of the draft, he didnt play much. he did show some good signs, yes, but ronny had the overall better impact in the game. he hustled, grabbed some tough boards, and did pretty well on offense

<font color=""red"">MIP - Lamar Odom :</font> its a toss up between lamar and kwame, but im going to go with lamar simply because his numbers look a lot more impressive. at the beginning of the season, Lamar got a lot of criticism because he wasnt aggressive, too passive, and didnt score. but towards the end of the year, he has gotten better and more familiar with the triangle offense. in our last 10 or so games of the regular season, he was amazing. he got two triple doubles, if i remember correctly, and was scoring, rebounding, passing, and most of all, being consistent. Honorable Mention - Kwame Brown, Luke Walton

<font color=""red"">MDP (Most Disappointing Player) - Aaron Mckie :</font> i wasnt expecting aaron to put up monster numbers or anything, but before the season started, people were saying how he was going to be kind of like a "ron harper" player for the lakers. obviously that didnt work out too well. aaron barely saw any time off the bench, and when he did, he looked very slow. just another MLE wasted thanks to mitch.

<font color=""red"">MSP (Most Surprising Player) - Smush Parker :</font> ok. so, smush may not be a starting caliber type of point guard, but you cant deny the fact that the guy has surprised. i came into the season thinking that he was going to be nothing more than just another player to fill up a roster spot, but he showed that he does have talent to be on an nba team, although his role may be better suited coming off the bench. Honorable Mention - laron profit</div>

You're absolutely right about Smush being the Most Surprising Player.

Everytime he had a bad game, I thought to myself that it couldn't get much worse than that, but then the next game he surprised me and played even worse.

Everytime he lost a critical game for us at the end, he surprised me by doing it again a few games after.

He just loves surprising us Laker fans.

Have to disagree on Aaron McKie, he barely got any playing time to even try and be a factor, it's hard to come in for a couple minutes and really get into the flow of things.. I don't care how old he is, I really would have liked him or Sasha in the game as PG during the playoffs. If Phil did put him in, we would probably still be competing in Round 2.

    ^^ LOL

    My selections:

    MVP - Kobe Bryant
    ROY - Ronny Turiaf
    MIP - Chris Mihm
    MDP - Brian Cook
    MSP - Luke Walton

Kobe Bryant's season speaks for itself. He got the Lakers back into the playoffs, improved his image, and led the Lakers in scoring in almost every single game.

Chris Mihm was the Lakers second most consistent player this year. He was just starting to put it all together before he hurt his ankle. I felt Mihm made the biggest improvement from a season ago, he played with more confidence on both ends.

Ronny Turiaf it's a blessing he was able to play this year. You can just see the results everytime Turiaf comes on the court, he's going to be a solid player for the Lakers for years to come.

Brian Cook is one of the more frustrating Lakers to deal with. He has amazing jumpshot, but still doesn't know how to box out and still has no post game whatsoever. Brian Cook needs to lock himself in the gym this summer and get rid of the baby fat on his body. He has to tone up and improve his conditioning for next year.

Laron Profit he picked up the Triangle offense right away and was valuable off the bench for the Lakers. If Profit didn't rupture his achilles I think the Lakers would have won 50 games this year.
