I bet TNT wants Kobe as a analyst as soon as he retires. He talks like he has experiance in analyzing plays and players.

Yah it was interesting to see Kobe's take on being an analyst; he does look like he's had experience in it... Even better than Magic...

But as far as Charles and Kobe's issue goes, the network definitely made sure that things didn't dwell on those two... I think Kobe's grown from his past; as far as how everyone see's him--always to himslef... He was explaining why he was like that in the past and how he feels about the team thing now; he says that he's really enjoying the camaraderie. I'm hoping that he's seeing how important that is....

Anyways, I don't know if anyone saw it till the end, there were a few more funny things that they did toward the end....

Oh my god, the post game really made my night, hell even my whole week.

The "text transcripts" between Kobe and Charles were absolutely HILARIOUS.

"Charles: I got 16 against a 2, do I hit or stay" LOL!!!!

I really hope everyone got an idea of how great of an individual OFF the basketball court Kobe really is, and that he's not an arrogant ass.hole or any of that crap.

He is so knowledgable about the game and I also along with others thought he fit right in as an analyst. This is good to know so when he retires it doesn't mean we don't get to see Kobe anymore.

Not to sound gay or nothing, but seeing Kobe tonight was really good. I know you guys thinking "damn this guy is secretly in love with Kobe" But seriously, this guy is definitely one of a kind, it was just nice to see him backing up his points, and dropping knowledge and joking around with the guys.

I guess everything worked out well from Charles attacking Kobe and Kobe texting him.

Absolutely bro!!!!!!!! I felt the same way.... People who always down-him seem to always say stuff like that; he never likes to hang put with the guys, or, he just likes to stay in his hotel room on road games, blah, blah, blah... Personally, WHO CARES!!!!!!! If he does chose to do those things, then so be it... Respect the dude for what he wants to do on his own time; he's owed that for Christ sakes!!!!! That doesn't mean that he's pompous, and/or stuck up... The guy was a prodigy child; you don't get like that hanging out with the fellas all the time drinking beer or what not....

hmmmm.....I think Charles was talking out of his ass personally. He said there has to be a time in a game where you need to take over the game, yet he always complains [IMG] when Kobe does exactly that [IMG]

Well I am sorry to hear that Kobe is still hard set on changing his number to 24...[IMG]

Why? It's just a number. No more significant, basketball-wise, than changing hairstyles.

Man watching the post game was awesome. Kobe showed that he was very insightful at analyzing basketball games that didn't even pertain to him. I like how he pointed out that Manu Ginobli was critical to the Spurs success because of his defense and slashing to the rim. It was funny to watch Kobe miss shots when he showed kenny how to finish a game out lol. Pump fake. Pump fake... MISS LOL

I'm pretty sure any basketball player with a brain (meaning everyone besides Kemp) could have given the exact same analysis as Kobe. Not to bash the guy, but he said nothing I've never heard before.

Wow, a lot of people calling Kobe The future analyst on here.
The points he made were all good like about Ginobili's scrappy D HOWEVER the dude needs basic English lessons! He kept saying how one play changes the "complexity" of the game - wtf are you talking about "complexity" of the game? Like one play makes the game simpler? I think he meant to say "complexion" of the game which is another dumb saying but it's a popular one that has been used before and makes some sense - but complexity. Come on, Kobe. go read websters dictionary next time.

WHat's worse is the day before LeBron in a news conference kept talking about how they (the Cavs) were able to "sustain" Detroit's runs. He said it like 5 times. Dude, the word you're searching for is "withstand". If you were sustaining Detroit's runs, Detroit would have won the game....I give LeBron a good excuse, though, post-game, let's face it, you're mentally and physically drained it's easy to use the wrong word.

Stop being such a god damn nerd, analyzing everything people are saying. They don't get paid millions to write an essay, go find something else to nitpick at.

And besides, I don't know where you got your education, but LeBron said nothing wrong in his press conference. Sustain is just another synonym for withstand and maintain, etc. Here's an english lesson for you young padawan, if he said "We WEREN'T able to sustain Detroits runs" THAT means then Detroit would have won the game.....So, um, what exactly are you crying about here?

How bout Ben Wallace's interview after Game 5...."We are confidence we will win Game 6" Now that's embarassing, not what Kobe or LeBron did.

No one in the NBA realm made themselves sound dumber than Mark Price when he tried to be an announcer.

Walton: And Kobe just took his man baseline for the easy 2. Wow whata play!

Price: Yes, Kobe is a great shooter!

Walton: Vince carter with the emphatic dunk!
Price: That sure was some dunk!

Walton: Jason Kidd with the breakaway!
Price: Jason stole the ball and now he has it!

The guy could ball, but he couldn't communicate a game for crap.

Ben is the defensive player of the year don't forget. Kobe and LeBron have NO defense for talking NONSENSE on national TV.

phundamentalz is right though. Not only was his wording awkward, but Kobe was relying on cliches and his points were too obvious. I mean, anybody watching the game on TV would know that Lebron's dunks were keeping the momentum in the Cavalier's favour. I didn't really see anything that convinced me that he has a future in broadcasting. Jalen Rose, IMO, is still the currently active player most suited for broadcasting after retirement.

I liked his response to the accusations of Charles and Kenny. Obviously, it was thought out beforehand, but it made sense, and he responded well to Kenny's follow-up questions. Plus, the dude has a wicked sense of style.

So what if he's not a good talker. He saves the talk and gets down on the basketball court. i'd rather him be terrible at English and A+ Ball player. Thats what they pay him for! To walk the walk instead of just talk.. RIGHT?

Im tellin ya, everyone seems to have something to say about Kobe. Now its his English. [IMG]

Hey man, if Charles Barkley can get up there; anybody can get up there... You think Kobe can't use the correct words? Barkley can't even pronounce the words correctly... And Magic? He sounds like a crack head trying to "splain you sumtin"... But I still love him!!!!!!!!!!
