Everyone that I went with enjoyed, and I also know a couple others that liked it. I can definitely see it as not a movie for everyone though.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MrJ:</div><div class="quote_post">What movies do you recommend me see. I'm supposed to take a girl out and what better place then the movies? I heard Poseidon was aight.</div> The best movie to see with your girl is a movie both of you can enjoy. One of my favorites, I recommend the French film Am?lie. You can rent or buy it here in the United States and the subtitles are available on DVD. It is a class film and not to be passed up if you have interest in the strange style of Jean-Pierre Jeunet. -- http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0211915/
Step Up looks tight. See No Evil is scary as hell. Little man is one of the funniest movies this year.
Step Up looks like crap in my opinion. See No Evil looked good, but I highly doubt it would scare me. I haven't been scared by a movie since the first time I saw The Excorist when I was about 12. And Little Man looked pretty crappy. If you thought that was the funniest movie of the year, check out Grandmas Boy, Thank You For Smoking, or Clerks II. I'm willing to bet all of them were funnier than that. Also I'm going to be seeing Snakes on a Plane tonight. Hopefully it lives up to everyones hype. I'll post what I thought about it later.

Clerks was funny but I didn't laugh for 15 to 20 minutes straight like I did with Lil Man.
Definitely check out The Descent. I haven't seen it myself, but the critics are raving about it.... my friend who's a big horror film buff (who usually doesn't like these new mainstream scary movies) saw it the other day and said it was the best horror movie he's seen in years.... he said ppl were actually cheering when the movie was done (and around here, that doesn't happen too often).
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting authentiq:</div><div class="quote_post">you know, most people don't like Wayans' comedy like us black folk </div> I usually find the Wayans brother's pretty annoying and unfunny (eg Scary Movie II).... but I gotta admit, White Chicks had me cracking up a lot. Although, I think it had more to do with the acting of that big muscular black dude....

The first one is about a boy with the syndrome of Down, the second one about a travestite child. Both quite funny movies.

Snakes on a Plane rocked. Go see it. You will like it. Unless snakes freak you out....hell, you still might like it.
