so far the spurs look fresh. Parker looks like he wants to celebrate his b day with a win hes playing good. duncan is dominating. manu playin well. ill update as the game progresses. im typin this on a psp so i apologize 4 the wait. score is 31 - 37 spurs with 9:00 left in the second quarter.
so far its been a good game and duncan has 28 with a whole half left. duncan gettin all kinds of peeps in foul trouble. thats y van horns in the game. along with some other dude i aint never heard of. as of right now spurs up by 1 with possesion. ginobili showin his hunger in this second half. update comin in about 20
I assume Van Horn's in the game because Duncan's getting calls on everybody. Since Van Horn isn't a huge part of Dallas's game plan, why not use his 6 fouls if Duncan will get these calls consistiently?
this game went down to the wire ginobili came up with key defensive plays at the end. bowen came up with a clean block but it ended up being a jump ball. dallas won the ball and immediately called 4 time and got the inbound with 2.3 left. manu defended the play well and terry shot a air ball. spurs won by one. 98 97. this was a dam good one.
<font color=""Black"">Tim Duncan dominated from the scratch, Dirk Nowitzki obviously shot Dallas back into it, and then Ginobiliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii made? a steal, a bucket, an offensive rebound, etc. ? to put San Antonio back on top. The Spurs got the win and we live to see another Spurs win. Facing elimination, Duncan responded like a true champion. He was literally unstoppable in the first half, dropping 28 points in the half and hitting his first 12 shots before finally missing one. TD finished with 36 points and 12 boards. No one ever seems to mention this, but we?ll go ahead and say it: <font color=""Red"">Dirk gets so many calls it?s borderline comical. You can?t even go near him in the fourth quarter or it?s a whistle.</font> </font> <div align="center"></div>
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting dallasdude:</div><div class="quote_post">dammit..what the hell is van horn doing in the game?</div> You called it, if the Mavs use KVH they are going to lose. This game came down to the wire, and Manu Ginobili made the difference in the second half. Tim Duncan was amazing going 12/12 from the field and then hitting the sweeping hook shot plus the foul. I think Dallas accomplished what they wanted by keeping the game close, and giving themselves a chance to win. They didn't fold tonight, and should end the series in Game 6. The Spurs played very well tonight and still almost lost the game. The play of the night goes to Michael Finley with the facial on Dampier.
Bruce Bowens block was the picture of perfection. Dirks shots are damn near impossible to block unless you do what bruce did. Of course, I'm sure someone will come out and call it a "dirty" block because one of his fingers rubbed Dirks. Great block.
Tim was insane. Pretty "bad" field goal percent, huh !?;D But I think that Dallas will close up the series in the next game.
In games 3 and 4 in Dallas, the Spurs have come close to winning. If they can manage to win their next game in Dallas, they'll head back to San Antonio with the series tied and momentum.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Crossover:</div><div class="quote_post">Six. Barry had five off the bench.</div> No, only 5 scored. Check the box score, all the starters except Bowen scored. Barry scored off the bench, so that makes 5. Kind of funny that a team can win only getting 5 points from the bench.
Ah, I kinda skipped him in the box. And yeah, when you have Duncan playing as Vintage Duncan, Parker playing great on his birthday, and come up with huge defensive plays like Bowen and Manu did, you can see how that's possible.
