<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Meanwhile, the Magic, who have a first-round pick and as many as three second-round picks, will look at 18-20 players in preparing for the draft. Smith said they will hold private workouts for former Duke teammates J.J. Redick, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard, and Shelden Williams, a 6-9 center/power forward, at RDV Sportsplex before or after the NBA's pre-draft camp at Disney's Wide World of Sports on June 6-10. Unless they get lucky in Tuesday's draft lottery -- Senior Vice President Pat Williams again will represent the team for the drawing in Secaucus, N.J. -- the Magic will stay at No. 11. Orlando wants to add a shooting guard and a big body this offseason, and Redick and/or the 250-pound Williams could be available. Smith also said he plans to work out 6-7 shooting guards Rodney Carney of Memphis and Ronnie Brewer of Arkansas, and 6-10 power forward James Augustine of Illinois, among others. The Magic have started talking to teams about possible draft-related trade scenarios, and clubs have called them. "We're starting dialogue, talking about moving up, down or out," Smith said.</div> Source
Please no JJ, Otis. Please. I hope we take Ronnie Brewer, who is the most likely to still be around at 11 out of Carney, Roy, and Brewer. I wouldn't mind trading our 11th and 1 of our 2nds to the Clippers for Corey Maggette if the Clippers are still looking for a lottery pick. Maggette would be a "veteran" for our team and would be a very good pickup, IMO. It would mean that we were serious about the playoffs for next year and contending in 2-3 years.

i agree with chuck, no maggette, we cant take chances on players with existing injuries. Im sure the Rockets are wondering with Tmac is the next Grant Hill. We need healthy bodies coming in and helping.
