Note that he says he is optimistic about Vazquez coming in the 2007-2008 season. Now contract-wise, I have no clue what they will work out, but it's good to know he probably is coming soon...

Don't be ridiculous. First of all, the "wait" is still a year, assuming this is true, which it isn't, and Fran isn't going to do anything that Mario Kasun couldn't do even if he does come over.

I disagree. Fran is playing against some of the best competition overseas. He was actually putting up basically the same numbers that Pau Gasol did in the same league. I think Fran would be a good player if he comes over, nothing great, but not a guy that's constantly on the injured list and just a garbage player. I've never seen him play though, so for all I know he will be like that, but I think he would be a solid bench player.

I could careless if Fran came or not, we already have a solid squad w/o him.

Exactly. We don't need him. All though hes a good player, imagine the bad chemistry with the rest of the team. We could always trade him for a good pick and some cash. Cuz cash is always good [IMG] lol

We're in the same situation as the sixers, except a lot younger. We have everything but a SG. Fran gives us much needed depth up front but there's no guarantee that he'll actually matter even if he does come over (and I'm doubtful about that.)

    PG: 1. Jameer 2. Arroyo 3. Dooling
SG: 1. Draft Pick 2. Stevenson (hopefully)
SF: 1. Hedo 2. Hill 3. Ariza (seeing some real time)
    PF: 1. Dwight 2. Fran
    C: 1. Battie 2. Darko

Whatever else goes on, we'll see.

I dont care for him, you dont just up and leave a team that drafts you in the NBA. Its not some some euro club, uve been given a chance to play with the greatest players in the world and you listen to your woman and stay back. Bad choice, i hope we trade him.

He used us to get more money in Spain. Period.

We should trade his rights while people still think he might be coming.
