I don't understand if J-Kidd had lost a step at his age, why should we try to get Cassell who is, older than Kidd. What will be the point of that? I also doubt that the Nets will screw Kidd over and trade him to Minny, after all he has done a lot for them.
getting cassell is a bit unrealistic... do you really think that a lineup of cassell (vaughn )/wright/RJ/KG/ and Ilic is capable of anything if krstic is a few years from his peak, well.. ilic is light years away... if he'll ever amount up to anything... he hasn't shown much in europe either...

Cassell is good, but he isn't the player to run this team. Kidd's value is being extremely undervalued here. Cassell has played with amazing front court players all his career: Hakeem, KG, and Brand. Hell, even Glenn Robinson was a good front court player, so I think his value is a bit inflated. Sure he had great success and is a big reason for the Clippers winning this year, but we can't overlook how much Kidd makes this team. Other than Ben Wallace, I can't think of a player who can come close to matching his ability to win games without scoring a point. We need him. THis team fails without him.

i dont want entertaining i want like all nets fans want and that a championship. I want it so bad that it hurts. Give me back: Kenny Anderson Petro Coleman I know i know it will never ever happen. but we always get that impact player when cant make a push for the finals. Except when we got kidd but who would've thought the first year. here is my dream kidd, petro, and jefferson on the fastbreak and Petro actually hitting a 3 when it counts Sorry for the random ranting. Just a fanboy ranting here

Kidd, jefferson and KG is more of a winning combo then Carter and KG But thats my opinion

Nothing more, nothing less. So its for you, not for the team. So it's selfish. Nothing wrong with that, but certainly not a very good reason either.
what a rip-off for Nets.. Kg isn't that special. Why trade like 3 out of 5 of your starting lineup?.. Thats like trading 3 of your main players. Kidd and Carter.. i still wont trade, and Kristic?.. Hell No!.. Stupid Trade!
I think this would be good deal if they keep Jefferson, sure they'll be ok but they have Antoine Wright to replace VC. Only thing that I don't get is how come Kristic is in this offer? I think they need to keep Kristic.....
But why would the Nets do such a stupid trade. They are losing 2 superstars and a future all-star for only 1 superstar. If the Nets acctually do this trade they must have alot of confidence in Richard Jefferson because when KG retires or looses his touch, they will need RJ to play at an extremely high level.

Wright isn't fit to play in this league.

He came from a place where he wasn't winning and did his own thing, give him a chance to learn some stuff
The Nets would be crazy to do this trade, Garnett is great, but he is getting old. There are lots of good young PF's in the draft with potential, I'd rather take a chance on one of them, and you dont lose anyone for it.
This trade really doesn't help either team. Both teams aren't getting any younger with this and Kidd and KG want to play together, not get traded for one another
Thanks for the info shapecity, I stand corrected. But I still feel that giving up Kidd is too much pf a price to pay. A Kidd/KG/Jefferson I think would be the best scenario for the Nets. And as for Kidd looking old at times, That would be the case for a lot if they can do what he has done, he may not score a lot but he compensates with his passing, rebounding and his leadership. at 6"4, he battles for rebounds against 7 footers, at 33 he got more triple doubles than any other player in the NBA, he averages over 35 mins a game, he plays though injury, what do you expect? Kidd is a hardworker and you've got to respect a player like that. Bringing KG in will be a big one, but shipping out Kidd will be disaster for the Nets. Carter may have led the Nets in scoring, but Jason Kidd is the Nets' leader.
