Sorry, I posted this on the Cavs forum, but it mentions Chicago!

Detroit News - Rob Parker of the Detroit News reports that if LeBron James does not re-sign an extension with the Cavaliers this summer, he will leave the club and sign with the Nets after the 2008 season.

James' $100 million deal with Nike doubles if he plays in Chicago, L.A. or New York.

Cleveland papers reported earlier in the week that the chances of James signing an extension this summer have increased because of the Cavaliers' strong playoff performance. [READ]</div>

I doubt he's going to leave, but that's a whole lot of money. When 100 mil is already really huge for a shoe deal and it doubles if he plays in Chicago, L.A. or New York.

I could see Lebron in Brooklyn, becuase of Jay Z. Does it specify which L.A. team he has to play for? He would fit in great with the Clips.

No, I'm guessing it's just the cities. Like Jersey is on their because Jay Z is probably going to move to Brooklyn. I'm not even sure if this is true because it was on the Detriot paper(s). Just saw it on RealGM so I posted it.

I can see Lebron in a Bulls uniform right now. If he ever came to Chicago I can just imagine the reaction.

I would love to have him, but then I wouldn't because of MJ. I guess I wouldn't mind it either way.

Chicago would be amazing for the 'LeBron Prodigy' thing he has going on. I would love to Be a Witness to LeBron in Chicago...maybe Jordan will do the Bulls a favor and have a talk with him and tell him that the fans are awesome, 200 million is awesome, and that he'll be able to watch Bears games. haha.

Are you serious? Overshadow MJ? I don't think thats possible. He'd have to win All-NBA first team from now on tilll he retires AND win All-NBA defensive team till he retires AND a DPOY a couple of times AND MVP at least 5 times AND at least 7 championships for the bulls AND scoring champ till he retires AND alot of other things.

you dont think if lebron came into chicago, he wouldnt get compared to MJ like crazy, and people will eventualy say that he is better then MJ......just him being in chicago people would definitly compare him to mj......ive heared people compare gordon to MJ...(idiots) anyhow, alot of people are already saying LBJ will be a better player down the line because of what he accomplished in his first playoff series....no one in the NBA will ever be as good as MJ, there is no questions about it, but LBJ would probaly be the new poster boy if he were to amazingly come to a bull.

Being compared to someone and overshadowing that person are two completely different things. Nothing will ever overshadow 6 championship rings, multiple mvps, and scoring titles. Lebron would be seen as MJ?s air apparent not replacement, or someone who would overshadow him.

Seeing the statue of Michael Jordan every home game would constantly remind LeBron James that Jordan is still the All Time greatest Bull.
