What happened to our official Rockets trade thread?

Well the draft is getting closer, and the playoffs are almost over. We can start trading players the day after the finals are over, correct? Or is it the day after the draft?

Well I think if we do trade Stromile then maybe we should trade him and possibly Luther Head for Ricky Davis who could be our 2nd (if T-Mac doesn't return) or 3rd option (assuming he does). T-Mac and Yao can get there points, but the rest of the players just can't seem to get it going in JVG's system. Rafer will get his as long as everyone else on his team is a scoring threat.

Davis has played a lot better since leaving Boston. If you don't like him (or if Minnesota does not trade KG)...then why not Darius Miles. We need someone big and athletic at the SG position.

I say we only do this if we can get a nice big in the first round. If not then forget it, because we are going to draft a SG anyway.

This offseason, we need to "overhaul" the roster...we have to get rid of a lot of dead weight.

Any trade that can give us a smaller shorter contract for Howard is a good trade imo.

I say sticky this thread. Because a lot of people will have trade suggestions.. first of all trade Bowen and Stro for Bonzi Wells. Or trade stro and our first round draft pick for a higher first round pick

    No team will take that

and Im not a big fan of Darius Miles and Ricky Davis. I say we take a risk on Gerald Green and give Boston something so they pull the trigger.

Thread Sticked, the old one was taken off since there really was no need for it then.

nah.. i dont like that deal. Bogans and two second round picks for J.R. Smith.. Nah. We are giving too much. Yah he is athletic but still. We can probably get p.j. tucker in the second round. he is a great player. Second round picks are worth a lot. and giving bogans with that will be too much.

Rockets organization would be all over that trade. 2nd round picks aren't worth THAT much. They usually all end up in the D-League.

    Minnesota

Minnesota is looking to trade their #6 pick overall for veteran players. Is there any possibility of S&T David Wesley + #8 pick for #6 pick and Trenton hassel or (Troy Hudson)

No way they would they give up Hassel for Wesley. That doesn't make any sense.

Not to mention that Wesley's contract is up and he isn't worth as much as Hassel makes (4.3 mils) if it were a S&T.

If the T'Wolves are looking to give up the 6th pick, I doubt it will be to trade two spots up. I think they want a veteran to keep Garnett happy.

    Trade with New orleans.

How about we trade our #8 pick for new orleans's 12 and 15 pick.

Do we need to add another player to make it work. If we do then add Juwan.

Sure, but only if we can trade Juwan too.

Hell, if we can trade Juwan for a bucket of dirt, I say go for it.

I doubt N.O. would do that, but it would be great if we could dump Howards contract.

It'll be a contract dump if we add Howard to the deal, but New Orleans doesn't really need him with David West and Aaron Williams.

Btw, you're only allowed one sig. Please take one of them off ASAP or someone will have to do it for you.

I'd give up just about anyone not named T-Mac or Yao for Korver. He could really be that shooter we need.

    Hmm Philly is shopping AI.

    Philadelphia Trade Breakdown

    Successful Scenario
Due to Houston and Philadelphia being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Houston and Philadelphia had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Well we might have to throw in Luther Head, but this trade is pretty nice for both teams.

I know everyone wants to keep T-Mac, but his back may be a problem in the future. We get a superstar and a borderline all star (who has to play next to AI btw), but maybe JVG can limit AI. They are both good defenders.

Philly wants to give up on AI. They would need a PG and a star in return.

    Our starting line up:

    PG-AI/Head/Lucas III
    SG-Iguadola/Snyder/Head
    SF-Snyder/Battier/Novak/Bowen
    PF-Battier/Howard/Hayes/Novak
    C-Yao/Deke

We would still have our full MLE and our larger TE to get a backup C and a PF who can bang around w/ KG/TD.

or we can use the MLE to just get one PF banger who can backup Yao as well.

    Phillies starting 5:

    Rafer
    T-Mac
    Korver
    Webber
    Dalembert

With Rodney Carney, Salmons and their recent draft picks they can be a contendor as well.
