ok. i admit it. i do like lebron and he is one of my favorite players in the league. im just wondering if i am a minority here among laker fans. sure, lebron is hyped up way too much, and is the "golden boy" of the nba. but you cant deny the guys skills. he is one of the top players in the league, and is very fun to watch play. so, im just wondering, am i the only laker fan here who likes lebron? i guess i have been a "closet lebron fan" for awhile.

and to tell you the truth. i also like dwayne wade, and find him exciting and fun to watch too.

Personally, I hate him. I think he gets too much hype. He's nothing special. He's not better than Kobe, Kidd (prime), Wade, McGrady (healthy), Garnett, Duncan, Arenas, Pierce, etc.

He's a superstar and a freak athlete, but he's not better than anyone listed in my opinion.

I don't hate him or like him and I feel the same about Kobe. I can just appreciate the amount of skill and talent he has.

[IMG] Its rare that I actually like superstar players.

Im not a big fan of Lebron. With his size, althletic ability, and strength he better be that good! I do respect his abilities on the court, but Im not with all the hype. I've been a Kobe fan since the day he's been in a Laker uniform and thats that. Im a Laker fan first and a Kobe fan 2nd.

I really like Wades game too. I also respect Wade for wanting to learn to play defense from the best two guard in the NBA. Props for that.

Yeah I like LeBron a lot, and I also like Wade. What I don't like is giving these two more credit than what they've accomplished. Until they've played this well for 10 years and have some titles, they shouldn't be considered better than past or current superstars.

yep. what my thing is, i dont really care about what the media says. i dont let that influence what my thoughts are on one player or another. its not lebrons fault he is being compared to mj, its the medias fault. its not his fault people are saying he is the greatest and ect. its the media or the peoples fault. with that being said, i dont blame him or hate him for anything. i just like him because of how he plays the game. raja bell on the other hand.................

I don't hate Lebron, but I don't care for him. I think he is WAY too much hype. The media, commentators, and the NBA are feeding the public this guy. They desperatly want a golden child and so far this is the best they can offer. I can't help but notice that he gets away with ALOT. The refs might throw in a foul or two, but they let him get away with way too much. I like Wade, he's a good player and a much more developed player. He led his team to the playoffs 3 times and was an explosive player the minute he came into the league.

Exactly, although I don't hate him, I just don't love him.

I don't hate him but I don't love him either. I respect his game, he's probably the 2nd best player in the league right now, behind Kobe, with Wade being a close 3rd. Most of the stuffs about Lebron are hype, i dont get caught up on that. Sure he can put up big number, but it's nothing special. When Tmac was healthy, he's somewhere like Lebron now. For some reason, I hate Wade more than Lebron. I think Wade is cocky (seriously!).

Like everyone else here- I think he's an incredible player, but with all the hype from SLAM, SI (ESPECIALLY SI), and ESPN- as well as Nike shoving him down are throats (billboards, TV commercials, pop-up adds that cover and entire website- it gets to be a bit much.

He's one of the top 5 players in the League, no small feat- it's just annoying to see him get credit that players like Dirk Nowitzki (who i used to hate and now respect), Kobe Bryant (love him or hate him u have to respect him, even u raja bell) or Elton Brand deserve.

Let him earn this love- it's completely ridiculous that he's been handed MJ's life

Totaly agree with this article, although LeBron gets slammed pretty hard (but hey, for once it ain't Kobe).</div>

I hope they dont gag, stab, and shoot that sports writer for making those comments.

    Lol way to go Skip.

I sometimes catch 1st & 10 on ESPN (my friend loves Woody, hate that guy. But I don't mind Skip too much)

This was a great article.. Yeah probably a little too harsh, but I think it's only fitting.

I must admit though I do like LeBron and Wade a lot, it's just when Kobe gets thrown in the mix there about those two being better than really bothers me. And the fact of how much love those two players get, is kinda sickening.
