Quote:

Dude what the heck is your point. I was just curious on the stats of these two players. I was wrong statictically on a few points, what is your point by quoting me admitting i was wrong. Whats your argument here?

I thought that was idea of debates--- finding out who's right, who's wrong? And yes you, Fresh Prince, and many of the <font color=""Purple"">Kobe fans we're wrong with MOST of your reasoning as to why Kobe is supposedly better than Lebron. And outside of the "Whoops" comment, I didnt find anywhere you admitting you we're wrong.-- and also realizing what that meant to this discussion by you being wrong.
Well-- I guess this would be about the time you guys close the thread with the customary "its going nowhere" we've come to expect.

    ....... But before you do!

People have brought up these players first 3 seasons, hey we can even compare the last 3

    Lebron James
    03-04' 20.9 ppg 41.7% 5.5 reb 5.9 ast 1.65 stl .73 blk 3.46 To *Rookie
    04-05' 27.2 ppg 47.2% <font color=""DarkOrange"">7.4 reb <font color=""DarkOrange"">7.2 ast 2.21 stl .65 blk 3.28 To
    <font color=""Sienna"">05-06' 31.4 ppg 48.0% 23.1 fga <font color=""DarkOrange"">7.0 reb <font color=""DarkOrange"">6.6 ast 1.56 stl .84 blk 3.29 To * Best

    Kobe Bryant
    03-04' 24.0 ppg 43.8% 5.5 reb 5.1 ast 1.72 stl .43 blk 2.63 To
    04-05' 27.6 ppg 43.3% 5.9 reb 6.0 ast 1.30 stl .80 blk <font color=""DarkOrange"">4.09 To

lets go ahead and throw in a good <font color=""DarkRed"">Jordan year

    Michael Jordan
    87-88' <font color=""DarkOrange"">35.0 ppg <font color=""DarkOrange"">53.5% 24.3 fga 5.5 reb 5.9 ast <font color=""DarkOrange"">3.16 stl <font color=""DarkOrange"">1.6 blk 3.07 To

    >>>> BTW- 'its going nowhere' because you fans cannot admit when your ideas are wrong and we can move on with further argument based on the facts realized through these discussions.

<font color=""DarkOrange"">Orange= best in leauge of comparable players

^^ these discussions go no where because people arent open to new ideas. and my only point about your post was that you quoted me saying i was wrong, there is no point in doing that. And i am not a huge kobe fan. i loved watching his brilliance this year which nobody can deny. This year he was better than lebron, he had more points at a slightly worse rate. shooting more jumpers was the cause for that. Plus lebron is looked to to score more than kobe with out scrutiny. Lebron could take 50 shots a night and everyone would be raving about how he "took over". Kobe plays in the triangle offense which relys on TEAM play, but his team is not very good so he must force a lot of tough shots. As i have said before, his teammates give him the ball sooooo much. Everything kobe does is critisized, Lebron is the nba's baby so he has to be hyped up as much as possible.
    I'm done

So you saying you like Kobe but you realize Lebron is better or wha?

Also, I just noticed If you check the previous stats page I posted above you see that Kobe scored 4 ppg more than Lebron, but also took 4 more fga ... which yea-- doing the math on that; if they had both shot around 50% that should've come out to 8 more ppg not 4 ------ What hype are you talkin about?

Lebron prolly averages the most airballs in the league. he is streaky, and pretty poor at midrange shots and aweful at defense. Yet his is hyped to already be the best ever by the media

Whats really goin on yall? A few days ago this thread was hotter than Belladonna in a pointed bra-- everybody had something to say; Kobe fans we're all over talking about how much better he was. What happened, its like I'm on an Island with this thread now.
Oh! I still never heard back from yall on this, Im having a powerful hard time figurn' this out, maybe yall can chime in on what this all means.

Quote:

Ok, first, Kobe the Legend said...

Had Kobe gone to a horrible team his rookie year as Lebron did, his carreer numbers would be much better

    Now wait a min ...
    Then
    Top Lake says.....

If you still say L.A. have better supporting cast, up to you all haters

    Laker Fan reiterated..

    LeBron's supporting cast > Kobe's...
Players like Donyell Marshall are overlooked. The contributions that they make to the team are much greater than what the Lakers supporting cast make.

Lemme see if I got this.... So Lebron's team he came to was horrible---- which! is why his stats are good. And If Kobe had gone to the same team, his stats would be good as well ?? Ok, .... but then the other Laker fans suggest
Quote:

LeBron's supporting cast > Kobe's..
.. And if you add in this piece by Fresh Prince
Quote:

<font color=""Purple"">Lebron gets sooooo many of his buckets on fast breaks and broken plays, meaning that his team mates give him the ball in a perfect position to score. Kobe's team mates give him the ball on teh 3-point line with like 3 seconds on ther shot clock sooooo much it is just annoying. Lebron's teammates give him A LOT more scores than kobe's. Durvasa could you get me a stat that shows percentage of basket's scored by lebron and kobe from an assist? because i bet it would support my point
It becomes even more interesting. So they say that Lebron's stats are better because his team was worse, and ALSO now his stats are better because his team is better ???!!! Guys I am lost, I mean I play ball and everything, but I guess I didnt know as much as I thought about the sport. Help me out will ya!?? --

I said that i believe lebron's team being better causes his stats to be better. kobe's teammates never give him a good chance at scoring the rock. i have never argued that a crappy team means better stats. quit trying to twist s***. Many people have said that wade is good but wait till shaq leaves and then his numbers will drop. well, lebron has big Z (an all-star and very likely top 5 center in the league) and other solid pf in the post to help him while kobe ahs mihm (not a scorer) and kwame who sucked until the playoffs

And those same people have said that Kobe was good and when Shaq left his stats would go UP. which is it?

i dont know and i know what you mean, but i am not one of those people. if you have a solid (not superstar) cast like lebron has your stats will be better than someone with a superstar (wade) and horrid (kobe) cast. just my opinion, i am not one of those other flip floppers, when i am wrong, i'll say it.

Damn those <font color=""Indigo"">Kobe threads get shut down fast when you actually bring some stats/facts in the conversation outside of people's "opinion". Everybody has an opinion-- there are only one set of stats/facts. And we used them in every way possible on these threads to come to a conclusion that Kobe fans dreaded-- yet I think ultimately knew was apparent.

So Fresh, since Wade's stats we're better than KB as well with Shaq// and with that logic in the quote Wade's stats will be better without Shaq--- are you suggesting he's better than Kobe as well? Maybe that'll be the next one

you sound so cocky here. yet you never really respond to my posts. you simply picked out one thing, argued it with a stat (which i am not found of since stats are quite flexible) then i smash down your argument. then you repeat this process about 10-20 times and make this rediculous post anout how kobe fans knew they were wrong the whole time, and you made such amazing arguments to show them this until they stopped posting. and you are the on that hasnt posted in a while on all these threads with me, i post something, you take forever and say that you win. the same thing happened in the nba forum until it got closed even though i had plenty of arguments left, untouched by you.

Ok you just edited some threads so it looks like you responded to my post, anyway, will you please explain to me how lebron is better than kobe or mj. he isnt even close imo. please no stats, lebron is a stat whore. he passes when he shouldnt all the time to get easy assist and whatnot and he cant shoot at anywhere near the level of kobe or mj. And my arguments are that stats dont tell the whole stories and that this era is just as good as any other.
