Not the best year for a #1 pick but who cares!?@

#1 pick is a #1 pick. Provided we keep the pick and don't make a huge mistake, it's pretty guaranteed that we get some type of impact player. And with Colangelo making the decisions, I'd say we're in pretty good hands.

I don't think anything this good has happened to us ... ever.

I think most likely we'll be trading this pick for something of value.

    Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

    Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

I hope we don't use it on Morrison personally. I would make a comment about it being too bad this isn't 2007 but that would just be being ungrateful!! Wow, who did we send?

What do you guys think about trading the pick with Mike James, to Chicago for their 2nd and 16th, with Moe Petterson or just trading it in general?

Wow!! Raptors are gonna be good. Charlie V, Bosh and Alridge will be a pretty good front line for years to come.

Can we get away with throwing Alridge at centre ? or will it be the kind of thing where even though he may have the physical attributes to play there he'd look slightly out of place and more comfortable at the 4?

Calangelo's going to model the Raptors to play small ball and be the next Phoenix Suns..Alridge is going to be a perfect fit.

the draft is sub par, nonetheless, leverage is an important part of the draft, especially considering the uncertainity of the draft which means we can control the entire draft.

i say trade it along with with jose caledron for their first round pick, luke ridnour and johan petro

Well unless some how Aldridge puts on a ton of muscles like how Dwight did, i really don't see Aldridge being able to play Center in the NBA but he can get away with it from time to time. Plus wasn't Aldridge a former teammate of Bosh in highschool or something?

wilcox is a FA; fortson has a hefty price tag beside his name, plus he's got way too much drama attached to his reputation

whaaaattt..i had a feeling that this would happen..i even made bets
nyways please dont say lets gay morrison..this guy doesnt seem that good to me
My first choice is Tyrus Thomas--this guy is nuts. He's the big man we need
Second Choice--Aldridge--nice PF but hes like bosh on defence
    Third Choice- Rudy Gay

however--if we can trade the pick to maybe Portland in exchange for Telfair and their pick--that would be great:)

we can maybe evne add Joey or Hoffa in that trade

Just curious, how is Tyrus Thomas the bigman the Raptors need?

From what I hear Andrea Bargani is who Colangelo wants. Congrats on the #1 pick overall.

I really feel Adam Morrison would be your best fit for the scoring effort.

well..i have watched some clips of him and i honestly think he can play C.
He sort of reminds me of Amare Stoudamire. He's a shot blocker and does not shy away from rebounds. He's also physical---which is what raps need.

If Colangelo wants Morrison, he can easily trade down. Morrison, to me, isn't deserving of the number one pick. I wouldn't waste it on Tyrus Thomas, either. I think Thomas should've stayed at LSU one more year.

I think Toronto should go for Aldridge. Chris and LaMarcus will be one hell of a big man combo down the road. You throw in Villanueva at the 3, that's one tall lineup.
