Lakers reportedly after Spurs Brent Barry. Is this true? If so, I think it would be a great addition. This guy doesnt miss from 3. Barry for LLE?
Actually that would be a terrible pick-up! Where would he play and over who? He can't play defense and his jumpshot this year wasn't even that reliable. Plus he is old. I think by now the Lakers management and fans should realize after that signing old guards isn't the way to go. Anyone remember Isiah Rider? Mitch Richmond? Gary Payton? Oh wait a minute Aaron Mckie? Yea let's not do that that would be horrible. We really need to trade Mihm for Duhon. There is a thread over in the Chicago page about that. Duhon would be perfect for us bring toughness and heart outside of Kobe which we desperately need. We are stacked with bigs anyway. Turiaf really needs to play more along with Bynum and I don't see how we can develop them with Mihm on the rooster as well as Kwame. Something needs to give and in this case we really need guard help. I know you don't trade big for small but... We have to address are needs and sometimes that is just how it goes. Plus it's Chris Mihm it's not like we are talking about somebody like Kwame Brown
Barry is signed for another two seasons, so the Lakers would have to trade for him. The Spurs were trying to trade him for JR Smith right before the deadline, so they aren't just going to give Barry away. Maybe Brian Cook and Aaron McKie (expiring contract) are enough.
i dont really want him. i mean, if we do get him, he will most likely play as kobes backup or something. the is old and i dont know how much he has in the tank. but if we could get rid of mckie for him, id be more than happy
