Draft Express (the best draft source in my opinion) has Tyrus Thomas slipping to us. I don't know how likely that is, but it would certainly be great for us, as I think he would be a great fit.

I don't know if I can see the Hawks taking Marcus Williams instead of Thomas, it would be nice, but I can't see that being the case. Especially with everyone talking trade about Harrington. Besides all that, Williams would probably be an equally good fit.

Well, the Hawks do have a major hole at point guard and Marcus Williams is the best point guard on the board, so it seems like a perfect fit.

But whoever drafts Tyrus Thomas needs to realize that he isn't going to come right in and be a major impact, because hes only 19 and played only one year of college ball at LSU. I'm afraid he's going to turn into another Stromile Swift, though...

With the team we have right now, I'd be happy to have another Stro', although not for Stro' money.

If the Hawks picked Tyrus Thomas they would set an NBA record for the most 3/4 guys with extremely long wingspans and untapped potential ever. Might be the only sure thing they can win next year.

I have mixed feeligns about Tyrus coming to Boston it could be a good thing and it could be a bad thing. He's one of my favorite NCAA players and I want to see him go somewhere where he will play and make some sort of an impact but behind Perkins, Jefferson and I guess Raef and Gomes too I doubt he'll play much.

I have always feared that he will be just like stro. because they are the same size, both athletic, and the both went to lsu. but ive heard that tyrus has a better work ethic so maybe theres a chance.

It definitely would be interesting for the future of the franchise being that Pierce sooner or later would be on his way out. If they can land Tyrus they would have positions 2-5 for the future already set. Green-Thomas-Gomes-Jefferson. I would find it more likely if a guy like Rudy Gay slipped to the C's, would be a better fit too...

Rudy gay would be like fourth string for you guys though.

    Sg: Pierce
    SF:Wally...Gomes...Green

Thomas, foye, or marcus williams would be the instant impact guys. Maybe even Shelden Williams.
