<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Well, you can give up the Kevin Garnett ghost.

An NBA source tells us that Minnesota has no intention of trading Garnett and wouldn?t even listen to offers unless the name in return starts with something along the lines of Kobe or LeBron.

That being the case, and unless there?s a sudden change of heart, the T?wolves intend to quickly find the necessary players to fill in around Garnett, and that takes the Bulls out of any potential deal with Minnesota.

Even after netting the No. 2 pick in the draft lottery Tuesday night, Bulls GM John Paxson just doesn?t have what Minnesota would want, which is a franchise player just as good as Garnett.

The T?wolves believe they don?t need to start over. They?d rather help Garnett get back to the top of the NBA, and believe they can do that right away.

Paxson probably knew that already, because he said repeatedly during the season that he didn?t think the Bulls would be able to land a megastar in a trade this summer.

Maybe he even had Garnett in mind when he said it.</div>

    Themselves [IMG].

It's funny to think that the Cavs would trade Lebron, not only because he is a great young talent with potention, but also because they've just spent three years building around him.

Hypothetically, if the Wolves were to pick up Lebron they would be putting him back together with Ricky Davis, the same dude that tried to kill his confidence early on with the Cavs. Why would they do that? [IMG]

Didn't KG get his contract before they reduced the amount that players could get paid? Meaning that the Lakers have to trade Kobe, and someone else for KG so that the salaries would match up? [IMG]

KG will be back at Minnesota next year....he's a superstar talent and they won't trade him for anything less than a superstar....with that being said Lebron and Kobe > Garnett.

In other words, they're saying we won't trade him unless he asks for it. Nothing new.

They should do the Kidd/Carter/Krstic trade. That is way better for Minnesota than it is for Jersey

^^ that makes no sense whatsoever, NY would need to give us a GOOD player and like 5 draft picks

As good as KG is, he's not worth that much.

Like said up above, it just comes down to KG asking for a trade out.

I think KG had his shot in Minny (with sammy and spree), it just didn't happen.... I think Minny should bite the bullet and trade him for 1-2 established players, 1 rookie/player with potential, and a draft choice....who better to do that with than the bulls.

^^ i agree thats whats best for the team because McHale will never be able to make a good team with Garnett (which cant be too hard) but i just cant imagine KG not here, i will instantly become a fan of whatever team he goes to

It will all come down to KG if he'll ask to be traded out, I think he would ih they can't give him major help. KG's patience I think has run out, he want's to win, and he can't do it alone. But realistically KG nay not be able to move at all, because by the way it looks, McHale will either stand his ground or have to make a sacrifice and rebuild for the future. The best way to go for KG is New Jersey. A Kidd/Garnett/Jefferson lineup will be in KG's interest. But an entirely different game is played during offseason. It would be an exciting season if we see major changes during the summer.

We'll see what happens, how many losing seasons can a guy like KG handle?

Its going to end like the Shaq Trade really. No one will be willing to give up a franchise player like Kobe Or Lebron, and the only way theyre gona get something in return is a draft picks+half a team kind of trade.

No way Lebron or Kobe is coming to Minny. If KG wants to be traded he'll get traded.

Kinda ironic, they won't give up KG unless kobe or LB are involved.. And yet, those are the two teams most interested in him.
