<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> The reward for the worst Knicks season in 20 years was officially claimed Tuesday by the Chicago Bulls — in the form of the second overall pick in the June draft.

If Knicks officials cringed, no one will know, because they are not talking. But there was no mistaking John Paxson's satisfaction. Paxson, the Bulls' general manager, acquired the Knicks' pick in the Eddy Curry trade last fall. At the time, no one figured that the Knicks would do so poorly, or that the pick would become so valuable.

"This is kind of like found money," Paxson said after the N.B.A. held its draft lottery here Tuesday night.

With the No. 2 pick, the Bulls could take one of the top forwards in the draft: Tyrus Thomas of Louisiana State, LaMarcus Aldridge of Texas or Andrea Bargnani of Italy. Or the Bulls, desperate for veterans and size, could trade the pick.

The Knicks, who endured a painful 23-victory season, will continue to place their faith in Curry and pray that he justifies the deal. But if the June 28 draft is viewed as a referendum on the Curry trade, Paxson will not engage the debate.

"It's not important," Paxson said. "Anyone who wants to get caught up in who's going to ultimately win this deal, for me it's not about that."</div>

Im so pumped about this right now man. Im still happy and giddy, lol. There is no big time player or anything in this draft, but I think we can help solve the big man problem with this draft.

I'd be crazy if the Knicks are the worst team in the league next season. They land the #1 pick, we get to switch with them. Greg Oden comes out, we draft him... !!!

Haha, now that's a pipe dream. Noah might be out next year though and in refined form. I'm a Gators fan so you know how I feel there.[IMG]

This just shows how the bulls luck never ran out. We were just under bad coaching and management. Think about all of the talent that we have had since 1998. Now that we have better management and coaching we are able to make wise choices instead of foolish ones. Thanks GM Thomas, And good luck unloading countless Over paid ballhogs.

    Great point.

Sheldon Williams would be great, but thats only if we get him with the 16th or trade down to get him. I hope you are not suggesting that we take him number 2.
