Why is everyone saying that this years draft is soooooo bad. Sure it looks weaker than usually, but seriously u guys think that there wont be any good players from this draft? Every year there are suprises, why cant some of this years players suprise you guys and become great.
Heck imo its a really good draft for anyone holding a mid to late pick in the first round... ala lakers. A 20th pick in this draft is just as good as a 10th. So the quality of players is good even into the early second round. They are also more mature because of not allowing hs players this year. There's no Tim Duncan but anyone in the mid to late first round has a great shot of landing the next kobe bryant. Draft steals (by current projected standing) imo: Rudy Gay, Maurice Ager, Dee Brown, Mike Gansey, Kyle Lowry, Allan Ray, and Hassan Admas.
^^I agree with you completely. There may not be a sure number one, but that doesn't mean that a player from this draft wont become worthy of a number one talent wise. And for some reason i also think rudy gay will be a huge steal. Hopefully Twolves

They are talking about JJ Reddick as a top 10-15 pick, if it was last year or 2 years ago he would be a second rounder. But hey, thats just my opinion/
^^i get that, but reddick had an amzing year this year and i am just annoyed by people thinking they know how good players will be. If they did then guys like olawakandi would never be drafted in the first round. No one knows that rudy gay wont make an all star game, or aldridge or anyone else. O and who thought chris paul was gonna be this good? He would have been the number pick for sure if people KNEW how good everyone is going to be.
Yeah I think this is a mad draft aswell, sure alot of the players arnt as great as previous years, but neither were last years, and we hada few surprise standouts, the same should happen this year.
People are saying this draft is weak because there's no franchise players, simple as that. Like you look at the 2003 draft which has been considered a great one, and almost every team that was in the lottery is now in the playoffs. This year it seems like everyone's just judging the players based on potential. Guys like Tyrus Thomas who are just too raw, the annual Euro who could be the next Dirk or the next Skeet (Bargnani), the great white hope (Morrison), the super-talented slacker (Gay), the character flawed (UConn Marcus Williams).....there's just not many sure-fire players, not guys to rebuild your team with. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting bruin007:</div><div class="quote_post">Draft steals (by current projected standing) imo: Rudy Gay, Maurice Ager, Dee Brown, Mike Gansey, Kyle Lowry, Allan Ray, and Hassan Admas.</div> I dunno about Gansey or Allan Ray...but I agree with the rest of that. But to me, the biggest steals are gonna be Leon Powe and PJ Tucker, probably both 2nd rounders.
