<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Providence Journal - The Wizards confirmed Wednesday that Eddie Jordan was docked $25,000 by the league for comments he made following a 97-96 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 3. "The truth is the truth," Jordan said the next day. "I want our players to understand that we did a lot of things to win the game, and because a travel wasn't called, you don't win the game." Jordan added that Wizards star Gilbert Arenas "doesn't get the calls that LeBron gets."</div> One question. Does anybody get the call LeBron gets? http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives...ns_$25000_fine/
I'm not saying that other superstars don't get calls. Because they all do. It's just that LeBron gets away with many walks, most of them are obvious. It's just frustrating to lose a game because of a call like that.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Bobcats:</div><div class="quote_post">No, because LeBron is the only superstar in the NBA to get calls.</div> How about Tim Duncan duirng the Dallas/Spur series. I'm tellin you he whined liek a baby, if they ever called a foul on him. Even though every time Tim got the ball they call a foul. I hate Dick Vadetta or w/e his name is. But anyways...I'm very shocked Eddie Jordan got fined for this. This is so stupid imo. He didn't curse didnt make threats, didn't boast, and he didn't even CURSE! Are you tellin me Rasheed Wallace can run his mouth. But if Eddie Jordan says 2 sentences about a traveling call, you fine him 25K??? The NBA is getting really retarded lately.
man u can't hate on lebron like that. he gets the job done period. its not about getting calls or blowing calls. its the wizards fault for not stopping lebron!
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">man u can't hate on lebron like that. he gets the job done period. its not about getting calls or blowing calls. its the wizards fault for not stopping lebron!</div> It would be interesting to see how many people could "get the job done" if they didn't have to adhere to the rules that almost every other player does. The reason why Eddie Jordan was fined is because he was calling into question the NBA's integrity by questioning officiating...Theres nothing wrong with that, but it's a fineable offense. Rasheed on the other hand boosted the ratings for that series hence making them more money, so their a little more inclined to turn ablind eye.
how can you even talk about superstars getting away with calls or walk without saying kobe name, he hardly ever get called for traveling and he walks all the time.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting thekinglbj23:</div><div class="quote_post">how can you even talk about superstars getting away with calls or walk without saying kobe name, he hardly ever get called for traveling and he walks all the time.</div> You're kidding, right? Did you see the beatings that Kobe took this year? I would say this year he got a lot less foul calls than usual. No one is saying that superstars don't get calls, in fact I said they do, but Jesus Christ the way LeBron gets plays called for him, you'd think he invented the sport.

Not to mention Shaq got pretty much all the calls he isn't getting now with the Heat. You make it seem like no one has ever gotten the calls LeBron has had.
gilbert arenas is not a lebron james but he is an all star and should get calls Wizards lost to cavs because of butler's defense or lack there of on lebron
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting bruin007:</div><div class="quote_post">Wizards lost to cavs because of butler's defense or lack there of on lebron</div> First, don't double post. Edit your first one. Second of all. Butler didn't play LeBron. Jared Jeffries did, and he did a great job at it for the most part. Sure LeBron had big games, but Jeffries' length frustrated LeBon all series long.
You aren't bein realistic here. I can understand if Lebron hopped step and the refs missed it. But he BLATANTLY took like 4 steps and the refs didn't call it. If traveled like 3 times in that game alone.
I think I saw the game myself and it was pretty obvious that butler was on lebron doing a poor job of containing him thus you saw them switch jeffries on him. bottomline : neither butler, jeffries, or any other wizard frustrated lebron enough to win the series... he had any shot he wanted one on one.
