post all ur trade scenarios: i have 2 1) -Raptors sign Mike James and trade him along with Joey Graham to Denver in exchange for Andre Miller -Draft LeMarcus Aldridge/Ty Thomas Raptors 2006-2007 line-up: Thomas or Aldridge Bosh CV Mo-Pete Andre Miller 2) -Trade Mike James and Joey Graham for Big Z -Trade first pick and Jose Calderon for Telfair/their pick - Draft Marcus Williams Raptors 2006-2007 line-up: Big Z Bosh CV Mo-Pete Telfair or Marcus William
can cv31 really play the 3, i mean could he guard tmac, peirce, LBJ, ricky davis? i mean unless sczerbiak is playing the 3 who will he guard?

I wouldn't want to risk getting Big Z, especially when he's expressed in returning to his homeland to play.
Don't the Raptors want to make CV31 their starting 3? A think it'd be best to hold onto the pick and draft Aldridge. A front court of Aldridge, Bosh, and Charlie is just sick.
andre miller is a decent option but i question about his price tag i still think that drafting rookie PG and trade a decent back up PG or two THEN use the salary space to sign big men is better than use a chunk of the money for starting PG but i guess that's more of a colangelo style...build his team around all-star calibre PGs ...although i wouldn't really consider andre as an elite PG but hey if price is right i don't mind it at all trade #2 with ilgauskas...that wasn't a good trade at all

He can back off a quickier SF like a McGrady and play him for the drive further then a typical 3 but still bother the shot.
Would Andre Miller even want to play in Toronto? Like when he got traded from the Cavs to the Clippers, you absolutely see no desire or heart from him playing a game. Plus on top of that he's like 30 years old with a 5 year contract. To be worth like 8 million a season. I think this season the Raps should just add pieces here and there with the draft and FA. No big turnarounds or "blockbuster" trades unless it only involves Mike James.
Trade scenario: 1st overall pick + Mike James + Araujo To Portland for: 4th pick + Juan Dixon + Theo Ratliff ... with 4th pick, select Bargnani, Roy or Williams. Juan Dixon is a solid player, who has playoff experience w/ Wizards, who will only cost us 2.7 mil and 2.8 if we keep him for the next season. Theo will cost us a lot of cash, but we'll be giving up a lot of cash in Mike James. Also, Theo will add to our strength in defense and some rebounds.
To be honest, I really don't like seeing Charlie Villanueva at the 3. I mean offensively he's a beast at the 3 with his skills, ballhandling and size combined, but on defense, he can't guard at all, at any posistion. If he can't guard a 4, how do we expect him to guard a 3? He even admitted he's a step slow against 3's, and when we face a team like the Cavs with LeBron, or the Rockets with McGrady, he's going to get exploited. As much as I like him, I don't see him as a great at the 3, and that's where he's going to play with Bosh at the 4. og15 posted a scenerio with us trading CV and Graham to the Wolves for Gay/6th pick of the draft (CV's former teammate), a true SF. I doubt that would happen, but if we had the chance to get Gay and another player, by trading CV and Graham, I'd do it.
why is everyone talking about a trade scenario with portland? why not another team? plus sebastian telfair is not even that good why not do a trade with someone like atlanta

Who knows how good this guy can get its only his second year comming up and to already get rid of him?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Brasco:</div><div class="quote_post">You want to trade CV? Who knows how good this guy can get its only his second year comming up and to already get rid of him?</div> As good as Charlie will get, can he outperform Bosh in the future? Let's face it, there's a logjam at the four and playing CV31 at SF isn't a long-term plan. Eventually, one of the two would have to go. Both are more outside-oriented players, and neither have the post game or interior defense to become full-time centers. Eventually, it's going to come down to the Raptors keeping just one of the two and trading the other while his value is still high. Personally, I'd gladly take a chance with Bosh being the better of the two. Right now might not be the time to trade Villanueva, but it's going to happen, so I guess entertaining trade talk isn't too farfetched.
I don't see why we have to get rid of Charlie so quickly though. I mean, I understand the point about Villanueva's inability to fit in at the 3 long-term, but why not wait until his value increases. I would hate to trade him now, see him blossom, and then realize what we could have gotten for him if we were only a little patient. Plus you never know how he will come out and develop his game. Maybe he improves his positioning so that he's at least a passable defender, instead of a horrible one.

well i was just talking to one of my friend, and i honestly think that this is the perfect trade for us: Portland S & T Pryzbilla and their 4th pick to TO for Eric Williams and our # 1 pick. Why: Portland: They want the 1st pick! Toronto: Well..this draft does not really have a locked first rounder, and we dont really need PFs. This trade would allow us to get Pryzbilla who is a tough defender, and rebounds the ball. As Bosh stated "we need someone nasty..not someone who takes shots away from us" Pryz would fit in perfectly with us. After that, we draft Randy Foye with the 4th pick. Foye will have an excellent future with the Raptors, as i can see him being a future Billups type of player. Now, after that we can maybe trade Mike James to SAC for Bonzi Wells and Jason Hart. Bonzi is a defender, and Hart is a vet PG. 2006-2007 raptors line-up: Pryz Bosh CV Wells or Mo Foye
