i was just on espn, and i saw an espn insider article about how philly might be sending sammy's big contract to toronto? does anyone have espn insider? and if so, can someone just give us the load down on whats happening? thanks
I wouldn't mind having that defense and shotblocking filling our need for a center, but BK messed up his value with that contract.
I'd love to have Dalembert, but his contract is horrible. Colangelo's goal is too use the cap wisely, and adding Dalembert would not be a smart move.
Won't mind having Dalembert in Toronto if the Raptors don't have to give up their pick or a starter, and we do have the cap space to take his contract. However, by doing that, Colangelo would take away most of his advantage in the free agent market. That said though, Dalembert would solve the Raptors' problems rebounding the ball and guarding the paint on help situations. Sammy won't be much of a guy to guard someone like Shaq though.
I would love to unload Sammy for some expiring contracts. He has not shown anything this past season to make one think he will ever develop into an elite big man. His defense is nice, but he is too raw. He does not anticipate shots well, and tries to block shots that are on the way down too many times. He and Hunter are basically the same players to me, expect one has a smaller contract than the other. Trade Sammy for some expiring contracts, and start Hunter.
I am all for moving Dalembert. Here is a rumor from the NY Post (take it for what its worth), but this rumor at least seems resonable. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Meanwhile, Samuel Dalembert is definite to be relocated. Despite a fairly prohibitive contract, numerous teams continue to find the 7-footer appealing. New York Post</div>
Just get rid of Sammy..amazing how one year can change everything.Last year everyone wanted him to stay but now it's the opposite
Samuel Dalembert will not help the toronto raptors in help out situations. Let me rest assure you, if he were capable, we wouldn't be 38-44.
