76ers Begin Workouts <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"><div align="right"></div> After completing his workout with the 76ers, Shawne Williams was sure of two things: he is ready to contribute at multiple positions right away in the NBA, and he never wants to see King Kong again. Williams, a versatile 6-foot-9-inch forward who played both guard and forward during his only year at Memphis, was on the verge of departing Chicago for Philadelphia Tuesday evening before being stuck in a delay. ?We sat in the plane on the runway for six hours,? Williams said. ?We watched King Kong two times. It?s a three hour-long movie. I don?t want anymore King Kong.? ?I wanted to get seven to eight hours of sleep but I couldn?t. So I had to suck it up. It will probably happen two more times during this process.? Williams played under former Sixers assistant John Calipari at Memphis and leaned on him when it came time to make a decision about turning pro</div> <div align="center">http://www.nba.com/sixers/draft/draft_workout_060531.html</div> The 76ers sound more impressed with Cedric Simmons, and Shannon Brown. Out of those two I like Brown way better. Simmons is still raw. The 76ers bring in hometown kids Randy Foye, and Mardy Collins on the 31rst. Mo Ager will also be working out as well.
Shannon Brown isnt 6-4 <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Shannon Brown wasn't shrink-ing from his workout. He wanted to keep going after tweaking his right ankle, but he was clearly shrinking from 6-4, the height at which he was listed by Michigan State. <font color=""Red"">He is barely 6-1.</font> </div> link: http://www.philly.com/mld/dailynews/sports/14712971.htm
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Brian:</div><div class="quote_post">link: http://www.philly.com/mld/dailynews/sports/14712971.htm</div> That's complete bull and not an official measurement. However, it's no secret that he's not the ideal height for a two-guard, but like previously stated, he makes up for that like Dwyane Wade with his other impressive physical features. Quote from an article in JBB's Draft Forum - <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Although he's an undersized shooting guard, Brown is a terrific athlete with a tireless work ethic. Michigan State listed him at 6 feet 4 inches, but he said he's 6-3 with shoes on. "If you go out there and play, it doesn't matter how tall you are," Brown said.</div> Quote from ESPN Insider's Tim Grover on Brown - <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"He could be the best athlete in the draft. He has enormous hands. He has great elevation on his jump shot. He can get to the basket at any time. He has a pro body and really knows how to create space. His jump shot has improved and his ball handling has gotten much better. He has the ability to bring the ball up under pressure."</div>
