<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Apparently, it's not a slam dunk that Wade will re-sign with the Heat after the postseason.

And when you think about it, it makes sense.

<font color=""Red"">Center Shaquille O'Neal is near the end of his career. He's closer to retirement than he is to another championship.</font> While Wade loves playing with Shaq -- what smart shooting guard not named Kobe Bryant wouldn't? -- he knows the big fella won't be around much longer.

Wade wants to know what the long-term plans are for the Heat. The last thing Wade wants to do is sign and get stuck with a losing and rebuilding team. The best years of his career could potentially be wasted. The Heat aren't exactly a young team with a big upside. In fact, it's the opposite.

The Heat -- with Shaq, Gary Payton , Alonzo Mourning and Antoine Walker -- aren't an old bunch, but their pregame meal does include sodium-free bacon and a chest X-ray.

The other factor is how Wade plays. The commercial of him crashing to the floor is accurate. Wade, who plays above the rim, isn't guaranteed a long career because of a possible injury. No wonder Wade wants to win sooner than later. And Miami might not be the place for that to happen</div>

I think he'll stay, because Shaq is probably going to stay for atleast 2 more seasons... maybe.

Can you post a link? You need one if you're going to post thread with a quoted article.

And, thisis just something someone stirred up to create some talk. I highly highly doubt Wade will not re-sign with the Heat.

    This ain't convincing at all.
Sure, noone wants to get stuck with a rebuilding team but it doesn't mean Wade won't re-sign.
Heat is not about to let this guy go who is about to be the best star that Heat ever had.

    But it's a dream. I don't see it happening.
Same goes with Wade going to another team.

If Wade wants to go, there's nothing the Heat can do to stop it. They can offer him extra money because they have his bird rights, but he will need to evaluate his opportunities. Being the homer that I am, I would say he would have a better shot at winning more championships if he went to Orlando.

This thread is stupid..theres no way in hell Wade would even consider leaving the Heat. Have you guys heard him talk about his love for this team?? He loves it here and he has had major sucess here, there is no reason to leave, I think theres a better chance the Knicks win the championship next season then Wade leaving...lol 4real.

He isn't going to Orlando. I actually see Wade not resignng but it is a big IF.

If he signs with any other team, the team he signs with will also be rebuilding because not many teams that are in the playoffs have the ability to offer him max dollars.

Why wouldn't he come to Orlando? The rebuilding years are pretty much over now and we will have max money to offer him.

Again, I don't think he leaves, but if he does leave, Orlando seems like the best possible scenario. Who wouldn't love to play with Dwight, Darko, and Jameer?

I don't think Wade will leave. He seems to love it in Miami and Miami loves him. He's getting all the publicity there that he needs.

Besides, even when Shaq, Payton, Mourning retire, Miami will have no problems attracting free agents, especially with Wade there.

Who wouldn't want to live/play in Miami all year?

Exactly, I lived in Pembroke, Miami for about 6 years. Traffics compared to NY? Piece of Cake. Get to the Beach in about 20 min and you have a beautiful beach, bars, and especially girls. It's very unusual for a franchise player to leave first. unless he gets traded.

Wade ain't a free agent he still has like 3-4 years left relax kids, and yes shaq will be gone too, so maybe he will leave. If the heat don't get a dwight howard or something.
