During JBB's downtime I was looking @ some othr threads, in other sites, I found the new Draft Caps for this year, and uncovered this: Source Note: The source is an obscure thread at a different messageboard. It was made by a person named "one post willy" so I assume he just edits one post over and over and over again In the caption, speculation was(not 100% confiredm but I don't doubt it) that Raptor purple was gone forever and our colours were permanently white/black/red. With the bucks revering to their old(er) colour scheme of green/red, the amountof teams using red as a primary colour increases alot. I for one would love tos ee the purple back as (atleast) an accent colour. I for one loved it. It also seems as if the raptors might be using the claw as a primary logo(I think it should remain as a secondary). EDIT: based on the other draft caps, they use the team's accent colour(other than whtie and black) on the edge of the brim. The raptors are using silver, and evidently, no purple... Well, nkwu I am no Raptor fan, but I love the Red honestly. The Red makes it look better overall to me.
I'm not even a Raptor fan or hater, but that red jersey.....ooh weee.... it's nice...trust me, but I wouldnt throw out the old ones because well..you got to stick with your roots.
The colour doesn't matter to me as much as the logo. I thought our old one was a bit too cluttered. The claw is simple and just as good looking. If they do make the switch, I'm interested in seeing how the home jerseys turn out.
Is any other team using that type of red? The only other teams using red i can think of now are the rockets and cavs and the clippers i believe.

I could see that they're slowly trying to do away with the old logo so that's a good thing. As for the colour, I think red is perfect. Seeing how we're Canada's only team and red being Canada's colour, it only makes sense to make the Raptor's jerseys red. Besides, purple is not a good team colour imo, and actual raptors aren't even purple to begin with
Yup, I agree with you guys. The red should be our primary team colour. I think our alternative jerseys are the one of the best in the league because of the red. They should definitely also use the claw as the main logo also. It's simple yet it looks cool.
I hope they emphasize the colour scheme as red and black. That cap shows too much grey, which makes us look a lot like the Houston Rockets.
Word on the street (and by street, I mean a few of my friends) is that the red unis are gonna be our official road jerseys and we'll have All-Black jerseys as alternates.
They should stay with red/black/white and that claw logo looks alot kooler aswell, the old raptor logo and purple were gay. I agree though that alot of teams are using red now in their uni's.
I am a bit confused, apparently we are planning to lose the TR Maple leaf logo this season. Right when we have a very...patriotic uniform, we lose the maple leaf?. confusing to me.
I may sound homosexual for saying this but I actually liked the raptors purple jerseys, IMO they were the best purple jerseys I ever saw.
^ I agree with the claw logo being boring. But the raptor one ain't that good either, let's have the logo with Colangelo's face.
