Personally, I've never liked Shaquille O'neal. Shaq needs to grow up. While I appreciate & respect what he did while he was in LA, the way he carried himself while crying for a giant contract, then forcing the trade, is deplorable in my eyes. Shaq should take his ball and go home. I am sick and tired of all his post game comments. First " I am going to make D-Wade better ", then he goes on to say " I've never had problems with Wade, never had arguments coming from a 2 guard" , and just an hour ago a reporter questioned him what he thought about the block from Ben Wallace, he says " That's a foul young lady, get it right." While some of you might think he's funny, I just think he is a big egomaniac. We want back the game he devoured along with all the pizzas, Shaq Packs, Cap'n Crunch cereal and chocolate milk it takes to keep that 350-pound engine running. Big Aristotle, if he is as wise and generous as his namesake, the Original Big Aristotle, he'll give basketball back to the little people.

    Shaq-hater.

Nah seriously though, why so late? I thought Laker fans took last season to get rid of all their resentment towards Shaq. He is a lot like Kobe, in that people tend to be on either extreme in their attitude towards him: they either hate him or love him. Like Kobe though, he backs up his arrogance on the court.

I am glad you can read between the lines. I am proud to be a Shaq-Hater.

Then you clearly have no justification for getting on people for hating Kobe just for the sake of it. I'm just trying to point out the similarities between what you just said and what Laker fans, in general, tend to hate so much.

This thread is about Shaq's ignorance. Let's not turn it into a Kobe VS Shaq thread. Shaq is coming off like any ex who was the dumpee and still bad mouthing the dumper years after he should have turned the page. Outgoing, gregarious players like Shaq will usually make better teamates than introverted types like Kobe. I'm sure Kobe's drive for greatness also puts some people off. It can't be he is just a ballhog, they are a dime a dozen in the Association. All that being said, it certainly appears that Shaq can't let go, going a long way to judge who is more mature.

I certainly don't want to see another Shaq vs. Kobe thread. I was just making a point on hating in general. Did Shaq recently say something about the Lakers? Because I don't really understand the timing of this thread otherwise.

What is the point in this thread? It is only part of Shaqs personality that he is a bit cocky and a bit arrogant at times. Most NBA players are, do you know why? Because they're NBA players. I can only think of one guy who isnt like most NBA players and that is Tim Duncun, and i am sure he still is a bit cocky and talkative, but he just doesnt leek it out through the media. If you do choose to use the media the way that NBA players do, you'll find that your point will never be understood and things that weren't anyway neggative or accusing will come out completely opposite, because the media can change anything they want. That is why Duncun is Highly respected and Shaq isnt as much. You cannot argue that Shaq is the only player who acts this way, every NBA player can act cocky and arrogant at times, they are human.

I moved this to the Laker Skybox so Laker fans can chime in. I agree with all your point LO7. Shaq has always been a media whore and continues to take cheap shots at the Lakers, Kobe, and Dr. Buss. Just the other day he took another shot at Buss and the Lakers by saying the Heat's owner is the greatest of all time.

He's still bitter about being traded.

All i know is that Shaq saved Lakers alot of money on their car insurance by switching to Miami :lmao: Shaq is cool when he is having fun and games, i have no problem with that, but when he starts getting all pouty and whiny he makes himself look worse and i lose respect for him for that. He's dead weight asking for surreal contracts.

Shaq wishes he was in LA still. I sincerley hope he loses in the finals for the third time. He's still taking cheap shots at the Lakers despite "ending it all."

Sure Shaq's in the Finals, but his ego is still bruised that L.A. picked Kobe over him.

Shaq needs to move on, he has Wade, who honestly can become a better player than Bryant. We'll see. I like Wade, so I hope he doesn't feed off of Shaq and become an arrogant dick head.

Check Shaq's post game comments once in a while. You'll understand the timing of this thread.

I hope you mean better player off the court. Cause if it's hoopz, the only thing close to Kobe is McGrady. Wade is far from being a Kobe Bryant. The Killer Instinct isn't there for Wade.

I already see Wade getting cocky, I prefer LeBron James. Totally irrelevant, but yeh.

It's weird how Shaq is ok with Wade being the show in Miami, but has a problem with Kobe being the show when he was a Laker.
