How about L.A Showtime! could be a classic name for LA. It sure brings back old memories of Magic Johnson.

It's like having their own basketball minor league team, which is something I'll definitely keep track of and probably go to a lot of games if they play out in Anaheim.
Their pretty lame names but I guess I would pick LA Evolution or LA Breakers. Weird I expected at least one person, to attempt to be funny and say LA ******.
