After another great game with a great second half, the Mavericks pull off the 102-93 win in Phoenix to beat the Suns in 6 games in the Western Conference Finals. What a comeback! The Finals start Thursday; how do you think we will fare against the Heat? (We won the regular season series 2-0)

The Mavericks went on an insane run in the second half. Props to them. Thursday's game cannot come soon enough now.

Congrats to the new and improved Dallas team. They deserve to be there. Avery is the man. Good luck and pour some water on the Heat for me.

Well, all I have to say is who is going to stop Dirk? Shaq? No. Zo? No. Haslem? No. I say that if Mavs win, Dirk is MVP. If Heat win, which I can see a greater chance I see Wade winning it. But, the only thing I see stopping the Heat from taking this series and making the Mavs look like fools is that seven-foot, long blonde surfer dude german guy.

Dirk in hawaiian shorts and on a surfboard would be hilarous.

Yeah but on the other hand, who;s gonna stop Shaq and Wade?
Dampier? No. Diop? No. And please don't bring how he played great D on Duncan. Remember Jerome James in playoffs?

    How about Wade?
    Terry? No. Harris? PLEASE~
Shaq and Wade can do bigger damage than Dirk alone.
Mavs have better bench, but if Shaq and Wade get solid plays from bench as well, I don't see why we can't win.

Feels great to be a Mavs fan, and I couldn`t be happy for the team, and especially Avery Johnson.

I have to disagree. Diop, Dampier, and even Van Horn can throw 18 fouls at Shaq each game and keep him on the free throw line, where he has been horrible. When it comes to Wade, I believe Howard with his long arms and his quick feet could at least keep him from going off. No one, and i repeat no one, can come close to sticking Nowitzki on the Heat. He will either shoot over your smaller defenders, blow past your bigger ones, or draw fouls and make 90% of his FT's. If the Mavs bench can contribute and wear the Heat out, it is our series for the taking.

I'm rooting for the Mavs, because of Cuban and Nowitzki. Billionaires who love the sport of basketball make great owners. [IMG]

On the downside, I'd hate to think Dampier could get a ring.

I guess the Mavs didn't need the league MVP or Mike Finley to reach the Finals after all. They just needed what every analyst says a team needs. defense.

Everyone is forgetting Adrian Griffin as well. He's known for his defense, I would honestly start him to guard Wade and bring Devin Harris off the bench for his energy. I see the Mavs winning this in 6 games.

    Get Darrell Armstrong a ring!

Pistons play better defense, perhaps the best defensive team in the NBA, yet we came through. Lindsay Hunter was great guarding Wade. Pistons had Wallace bros guarding Shaq and sometimes Dale Davis too using up his fouls on Shaq.
Obviously, this series will be decided by role players on each team.
Dirk will simply shoot the lights out, Shaq and Wade will be dominant as well. If the Mavs role players outplay/outhustle Heat role players or vice versa, that will be the x-factor of the series.
Win or Lose, Heat is my team that I'll root no matter what.

    Go HEat!!!!!!!!!!
