He was a Free Agent. No one decided to pick him up. He has to feed his kids though so who knows about next year.

I heard he was living in a cardboard box in downtown mpls. Just playin though, it is a real shame what he did though. He used to be one of my favorite players but then he got greedy. I heard that the spurs and lakers wanted him, but again he wanted too much money

As good as Sprewell is, he is a team cancer. I don't think anyone wanted to pick him up, even for the minimum. There is a chance someone will pick him up for next season, but I think it is unlikeley.
Add: Spurs and Lakers wanted him, interesting. Him wanting too much money is not surprising. He also says things that aren't smart publicly and teams don't want that. Saying "I need to feed my kids" when you already make millions of dollars doesn't exactly exert a good and smart character.

He has never proved that he was smart, so i dont know why i liked him. I geuss it was just his style of play. Solid D, and could score all over. Too bad he had such a bad attitude for forever. ISnt he like top ten all time in steals?

Teams wanted Sprewell, but he went into free agency with a price for himself, and he wasn’t willing to budge from the price. A price no one wanted to pay. I know for a fact that the 76ers expressed heavy interest in him, but did not have the money to sign him. I also remember the Clippers being interested.
