I heard there are tons of them out there. Is there any specific way to identify which ones are fake or not?
WHy do you need to know if yours is fake or not? I'm not sure but are Bapes the shoes with the lightning bolts on the sides? I have no idea.
Don't tell me you spent $500 on a sweater, or plan to spend $500 on a friggin' sweater? I wait for $50 hoodies to go on sale before buying them, let alone care about BAPEs.

So if I saw a $500 sweater, I turn around and walk out the store

Now I feel no shame in buying my clothes at Wal-Mart or any other discount store. Heck, I never even heard of BAPEs until now.
I'm suprised Nike can't sue these people for basically stealing their idea and changing it slightly with a lightning bolt.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bape Seeing as how there's an official BAPE store in NY, why don't you go there and blow a few grand, MrJ?

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TheFreshPrince:</div><div class="quote_post">i thought that cali was the most expensive place in the US?</div> Certain parts are really expensive, Cali is a large state so there's a wide range of prices.
lol just dont go to canal street lol i love canal street its sooo fun when people come up to you and ask you if you want stuff and you try to bargian with them and they jsut have to give it to you
400 a month for rent in cali? for what? a carboard box maybe??? aint nowhere around me for 400 a month that isnt already on the county's list o' sites to be condemed
Bapes are ridiculous. I had no clue what these were until talking to some dude. Everything is ugly, and paying that much for any article of clothing other than a suit is stuuuuupid. Fashion is gay. There I said it. It's cool to look good to a certain extent, but when you start paying 500 dollars to buy into a fad... you are a tool. No doubt.
shoes are shoes..it dont matta if you wear wal-mart/payless shoes or if you wear name brand shoes as long as you got something on your feet. Why is that some people expexct everyone to have name brand shoes? Those are the people that sometimes dont wear name brand shirts.. so how does that make a difference.. thats dumb.. and spending $500 on some ugly fake airforce wanna be's is dumb.. i'd rather get some clean airforces for $100 than get those.. or i'd rather get some ok clearance sale shoes.. and to who ever guy who said that in n.y. you have to pay some 1000 per month.. and in cali you gotta pay 400 per month.. just to let you know.. a place where there are things (clothes, gas, and food) cost a lot, people of that place, get more salary since the things they are going to buy are expensive.. so different places have different prices and different people living in different places such as (l.a. or n.y.) would have different average salaries.
The reason why I asked is because I was thinking about buying a pair in this place in Harlem, but they were only $70 as opposed to the usual I think $180.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Laker_fan:</div><div class="quote_post">I'm suprised Nike can't sue these people for basically stealing their idea and changing it slightly with a lightning bolt.</div> They are Japans versions of Air Force ones, Nike helped them come up with the idea. *stoneface.
Who the hell would pay $500 for that crap? You know they're all made for 25c by Asian kids working in illegal sweatshops anyway. If the Pope was manufacturing these things then I could see the cost as justifiable, but other wise.....
