<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Keith Van Horn, a key member of the Nets first NBA finalist in 2002, Monday compared New Jersey's fans to those in Dallas and found the Nets' followers wanting. In particular, the 1997 Net draft pick noted how fans flocked to the airport this weekend to greet the team after they beat Phoenix. Not so in 2002 for the Nets after they beat Boston, said Van Horn. No one was at the airport, he said, disappointing the team.</div>

Well that's NJ for you [IMG] ... we have one of the worst attendance rates in the NBA, and horrible team spirit (maybe due to the fact Jerz doesn't have a major city). NJ never went crazy when the Devils won the Stanley Cup in 2000 and 03.

It's good the Nets are moving to Brooklyn, they will finally get the cheer they deserve from the fans. It's like we suck, I guess the fans in New Jersey are just like that.

can somone honestly tell me something good about New Jersey. Not the Nets, but the actual state. lol Nets fans, don't get discouraged by Van Horn's comments, he's just happy to be winning.Just Like Terry after leaving the Hawks.
I do think though, that the fans will be real dedicated to the Nets. should be interesting.

Well Jersey is a nice and quiet place to live, unfortunately there is barely any excitement, another reason their moving to New York.

Well I live in Central Jersey, and i'm only an hour or so away from both Philly and NYC, so I have the best of both worlds. I'm only 20 minutes away from the jersey shore. The weather is nice and varied here as well. Jersey's pretty dense. Plus, we have Six Flags Great Adventure, home of roller coasters such as Batman, Medusa, Nitro, Superman, and Kingda Ka, one of the tallest and fastest roller coasters in the world, if not the tallest and fastest.

The only huge negative is auto insurance. I think we have the highest rates in the U.S.
