Didn't like it though, as a Bulls fan.
You kno, as good as Jordan has been given credit for being, and as much as he is revered as a player-- HE IS STILL UNDERRATED. Point- Name a superstar guard lead championship team without even as much as an all star bigman- regardless of how many non bigman stars we're on that team. People want to compare guys like Mcgrady, Lebron, Kobe to Jordan numerically in an effort to gauge their closness to his ability. Fact is, the stats of a man playing on a championship team /and the stats of one who is basically playing without major purpose are incomparable and the comparison is not relevant. A superstar leading guard- especially SG does not produce stats with an effort that correlates and is directly linked with team success. Ie; a players maximum statistical output esp. a Sg, does usually not correspond directly with a maximum team productivness. <font color=""DarkRed"">The more you score does not necessarily mean the better the team plays >>>So when Kobe plays his best season as a lone superstar on a 7th seed team -- and you turn around and try to compare stats and say Jordan had only played statistically better than this once ~ considering he was winning a championship 6- 11 full years on the Bulls ~ that comparison is inaccurate and invalid. Jordan's "best efforts" were focused physically and statistically and were effected with the purpose and results of winning a championship// Kobe's effort this year or Mcgrady's or Iversons' efforts were focused physically and statistically in and of themselves alone--- with no fruitful objective. There is no way for a MVP player, most of all a guard to contribute towards winning a championship without deffering or "investing" his game into the team system--- thereby letting the stats be effected and secondary to what the winning situation may dictate. Everytime a guard leads a championship team, his stats are always affected for the team ideal in a way they would not be had he not been responsible for controlling a championship squad.
^^word. plus those first few titles the bulls team was pretty bad. i mean like paxson and horace grant were some quality starters for them. plus he was a stud from the get go. he was also a defensive juggernaut.
