If I remember correctly, Jamal Crawford struggled when Tim Floyd was running the Triangle offense in Chicago. He was younger than, so maybe that had something to do with him not buying into the concept. Last season, he was one of the few players who developed in the Larry Brown system. I wouldn't mind Jamal Crawford, I think he's maturing as a player and can be a legit 3rd option for the Laker offense. He has the right size and triple threat skills to thrive in PJax schemes. The only downside is his lengthy contract. It would kill any chance at having cap space. If we can get him without giving up much, (ie Vujacic + 2nd round pick)? Something along those lines, otherwise I'd look elsewhere. I really hope the Portland deal goes through with us acquiring Miles, Blake, and the 30th pick.
I like crawford, and didnt he score like 50 or 60 something in that triangle offense. he could be a great fit for you guys.
I'm with both Brian and Shape...lol (sorry if this is short I just don't feel like I need to repeat whats already been said)
Here's some bang for the buck guards the Lakers should consider ... Tony Delk - Experienced, hungry veteran who can stroke open looks and plays solid defense. The Lakers considered him before he ended up in Detroit and the Lakers grabbed Jim Jackson instead. Trevor Ariza - He bounced around last season, but Ariza is the ideal size and athlete for the Lakers. I'm sure he wouldn't mind playing in the city he starred in during his UCLA Bruin days. DeMarr Johnson - Another long, athletic player who can hit from long range.
Here's another of the wall thought...is MIKE BIBBY happy (i know what your thinking yes I still remember those days too)in sac town..cuase if not I think he'll fit just fine...
But the only way we could get Bibby is for Odom, and I wouldn't do that. I'd prefer Kobe/Odom over Kobe/Bibby. What about the following: Jamaal Tinsley - Injuries have made his trade value dip to all-time lows. I think he'd be very servicable here though, if he can stay healthy. I've always liked his game and I think he could solve a lot of our problems. Andre Miller - He's a very talented player. Denver hasn't done anything in the playoffs the past years, so they could possibly look to make some changes. If he became available, I'd try to deal for him if it didn't include Odom and Bynum. Jarret Jack - With Portland's log jam at PG, Jack could be easy to pry away from them. Then you factor in their changing in their front offices, it shouldn't be hard to talk them into a deal...if your name's not Mitch Kupchak.
