<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Don't be surprised if the NBA prospects of Mike Gansey, who starred at Olmsted Falls High, continue to rise as this month's draft draws near.

The 6-4 guard, who helped lead West Virginia to two NCAA Tournament appearances, has received invites from 21 NBA teams for individual predraft workouts. And Gansey has been impressive in the workouts he's already had, hitting 3-point shots and displaying nice leaping ability. Plus, during a recent session with Sacramento, Gansey bench-pressed 185 pounds for 16 reps - proving he's physically strong enough to play NBA ball. </div>

I'd love to have Gansey. He is one of those players who does a little bit of everything out on the court. Plus, he is a decent size for SG and is a great offensive player. If he drops to high second round, I think he will prove to be a steal

Gansey is a solid 2 guard and I know his stock is rising but does anyone think taking him at #26 in the first round by the Lakers is too high? He'd be a great combo guard with Sasha or Kobe. Iv'e seen him play and he's got great basketball instincts and a high IQ for the game. He and Pittsnogle were the reasons for the run WV had in the tourney. I'd love for the Lakers to take him... unless maybe we are passing on other potential future stars... I don't think Gansey is a star but he's a safe solid pick... could he last in the second round to the lakers?

Gansey is a smart, efficient player. Won't be a superstud, won't be a dud. I like him better than a lot of the G's in the middle of rd 1, but I'm not looking at him as a big time starter, more like a very reliable team guy.
