The Pacers, according to Mark Murphy, would likely take Adam Morrison. </div> I would only do this trade if its the first pick and fillers (Alvin William..Eric William..Graham) but wow..imagine a line-up of: JO/Bosh/CV/MoPete/James (or another PG) that would make us an instant playoff team..however..JO's contract is horrible--he makes about 17-23 million or the next 4 years. Thoughts?
Yea, his contract is monster and he's injury prone. I'm not sure about this, but it would be a great deal for us. Bosh Villanueva and Jermaine, that's unstoppable.
I like JO, but I'm not sure if Toronto would really want him. He has a huge contract, and he likes to get hurt every season. But at the same time, Bosh and JO in the same frontcourt would be nasty.
Yeah.. that would be a very nice front court.. though with JO here, we'd have no bench, and no PG. JO would eat up most, if not all of the cap space.
wow!... i wouldn't mind JO.... it all comes down to who we're trading. as long as CV31 and of course bosh are not traded, then im all for it.
I don't think the Pacers would do that trade without getting some type of decent player in return along with the draft pick (ie. CV, Graham, MoPete). They would essentially be trading an all-star for the rights to take Adam Morrison. Unless they're looking to unload O'Neal's contract but you can still find a better deal than this. Not to mention the fact that the Pacers could trade for a lower pick and would still be likely to get Morrison there.
are you sure thats the deal? that seems too good for the raps.. but if it is.. no question i take it in a heartbeat
I don't like his contract, but let's look at things logically. JO is a 6'11 guy who can play C, can block shots, and can defend a little, something we haven't had in the post for a while. If JO can accept that Bosh is the main option, and can play more of an interior game instead of floating to the perimeter, that would be a deadly combination. I definately wouldn't mind losing Charlie or someone like that to make this move. Again though, that contract is quite interesting.
^ I hope you don't mean Charlie AND the first round pick.... but if I had to make the choice, I'd rather trade the first pick than Charlie. Anyways, his injury problems and the contract are a concern, but just thinking of a CV/Bosh/O'Neal front court has me salivating over here.... I say if the trade just involves the first pick and some fillers not named Charlie, Morris, Joey or Bosh, then we should go ahead and do it.... Not every trade will be perfect, so we can't dwell too much on the negative aspects of it.... If O'Neal can stay relatively healthy, just think of how good our team could be.
It wont be Charlie and the first pick. If they want CV31, Alvin, Eric, Joey--they can have them However we keep the first pick. We than trade the pick to Portland in exchange for Telfair and their pick. With the 4th pick--we should draft Gay and S & T Mike James for some quality bench players. Our new-line up: J.O'Neal Bosh Gay Mo-Pete Telfair
i dont know if thats who they need on their team they already have 2 big men. and they all not going to start i know that, if they all do start one of them is playing SF, but the team might step up alittle bit if he is traded.
i would give up our #1, cv, matt bonner, eric williams and alvin for JO and their #17 plus their second round pick. with the #17 i would select jordan farmer. then i would parlay or #33 plus indiana's second rounder for a late first round pick- at which time i would select denham brown. our team jordan farmer, caledron, andre barret-pg mo.pete, denham brown-sg graham-sf bosh, humphries-pf j.o, pape-c with that team i see 48 wins, a franchise record
James would rather go to Houston..i highly doubt it that he'll agree to be S & T to Indiana So..how about a four way trade lol Toronto Trade: Mike James--Houston Joey Graham--Indiana Alvin Williams--Indiana 1st pick--Indiana Houston trade: Swift--> Milwakee Indiana trade: J.O--> Toronto Milwakee Trade: Bell--Toronto Magloire--Indiana
I'm not too sure this is exactly what the Raps need. Jermaine O'Neill hasn't played at all that well...and his injuries will only make the matters worse. If anything, I'd rather trade for Pau Gasol, who's stock is rising and might even be a better fit because he's in a lot better form/shape. Also, I wouldn't mind trading this pick along with Charlie V for Seattle's 10th pick + Ray Allen or Luke Ridnour. Of course, a lot more peeps will be involved...but imagine having a nice go-to guy like Allen to help out Bosh in the offence.
