According to the Orlando Sentinel, Johnson often this season has allowed Armstrong to get the team together and lead critiques of the film sessions.

"I run it,'' he said. "I give my input. I know Avery had me go through one session about how to defend Kobe [Bryant].''

Armstrong is leaning toward a coaching career when he retires, although it sounds as if he wants to play a 12th season.

"I could possibly retire if we'd win the championship, but then there'd be that chance to come back and defend it,'' Armstrong said. "I haven't decided anything yet</div>

I wouldn't mind having him as an assistant in Dallas

I always see the guy explode off the bench when ever Dallas hits like a big shot, so I can def. see him as that sparkplug coach. Maybe he can pull off an Avery Johnson-like story.

Yeah i always thought that i could see Armstrong being a coach, he is exactly like Avery Johnson. And even if he retires no way in hell he'd be head coach. lol But just havin him on the bench with the players and in the locker room would be great imo.
But it's strange how players change their mind on retirement if they win the championship. midseason, Armstrong GURANTEED he'd be back for another season. oh well
