Since it's top 5 rookies, it's going to ha ve to force me to leave out guys like Tyrus Thomas or Andrew Bargnani, even if they will be better players down the road. I'm thinking it's going to take Bargnani a year or two to make an impact. Sure he's got the skills but a transition from the NCAA is easily from a transition from Europe. Anyway, here's my list:

    1. Brandon Roy
Here's a kid who can step in for the Bobcats, Bulls, Hawks, T'Wolves, or Celtics and make an impact not only on the offensive end of the floor but on the defensive end also. He has great size and a well rounded game which to me, looks more than ready for the next level.

    2. Adam Morrison
A shooter's game can make an easy transition to the NBA being that the line is only a couple feet back. Hopefully Morrison will go to a team like the Bobcats who have a well established inside game, and will dish it out to Adam when they're in trouble. At 6'8" he'll have an easy time getting shots off. Plus he's a very smart player that should read the NBA defenses just fine.

    3. JJ Redick
All the same reasons that I put down for Morrison except it's going to be harder for Redick to get his shot off. 6'4" isn't great size but he'll get open looks in the league as everyone does. He'll make defenses pay for those open looks because he just flat out has range.

    4. Mardy Collins
Maybe not the most talented player in this year's draft but neither was Channing Frye. There won't be a lot expected out of Collins being that he's expected to fall past #15 but he should get a lot of P.T. being that he's a versitile guard. If he goes to a team like the Bulls or the Suns, who use guards a lot, then he will have a sucessful rookie season.

    5. Quincy Douby
Kind of a "Salim Stoudamire" like player minus the attitude. Has great range and neither of them have NBA range. Should be an early second round pick which would mean he would get drafted by a bad team and get some P.T. With McCants out with a knee injury in Minnesota, I can see the T'Wolves grabbing him in the second round, as he will make an impact.
