<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Forward Keith Van Horn, an unrestricted free agent after this season, said he won't make any decision about his future for about a month after the playoffs.

He said he was open to staying with the Mavericks, even in a reserve role.

"I'm at the stage in my career where I'm not concerned about numbers or anything like that," Van Horn said. "I love being here in the situation right now. This is the reason you play the game."

Van Horn will be facing a significant pay cut from the $15.7 million he's making this season, the final year of a max contract. </div>

Van Horn I think is a solid bench player, but trading and getting rid of that contract would be better for Dallas.

First off, Van Horn's contract is up. So I don't know what you guys are talking about trading him...if I'm wrong someone please correct me, but I'm sure his contract is up now AND what Van Horn means is he would like to resign with Dallas obviously for a much, MUCH lower contract. Keith hopefully is going to resign maybe for vet min or something. He's a decent bench player and I like him coming off the bench for the Mavs, good shooter still.

If he's not willing to take the LLE the Mavs should part ways with him. Their priority is Jason Terry, they need to bring him back next season.

Van Horn doesn`t have much left, but he must have that passion for Dallas after this season. I bet alot of the players feel that.

Man, Van Horn was just terrible in the playoffs. Every time he touched the ball on offense, it seemed like something bad happened. And same thing when ever his man got the ball on the defensive end.
