Good move on Toronto's part. Get a PG they need and still have a chance at Bargani. This would mean that Charlotte is looking to draft aldridge or someone in that sort.

Brevin Knight is 30 years old, so he still may have a good 2-3 years left in him. Maybe the Raptors are trading down to pick Rudy Gay. A lot of people are saying Marcus Williams or Randy Foye if they trade down but with Brevin Knight they can push the need for a point guard aside. Rudy Gay will come in an make a huge impact, especially since they are shopping CV3 around for a center. They also can go with Brandon Roy at #3. Here's how I see it if they trade down, get Gay, then trade CV3 for Dalembert (as rumored):

    PG - Brevin Knight
    SG - Morris Peterson/Joey Graham
    SF - Rudy Gay
    PF - Chris Bosh
    C - Samuel Dalembert

That certainly isn't a lineup that's going to get you to the finals but it shows promise and you have three young players up front to build upon. I do still think that Jermaine O'Neal for the #1 is a better value.

I doubt Rudy Gay is their primary target. With Mike James certain to with free agency, Toronto is losing 19+ ppg. Adam Morrison would be my thought because Rudy Gay will not give Toronto 10+ ppg in his first season.

why would the raps even consider a CV31 for Dalembert trade C.K??

Not only do the salaries not come close to matching, Dalembert is horribly overpaid and he's never proven anything. The raps trade away the better of the two players AND they take on a bad contract. Dont see it happening ever.

As for the Raps picking up Knight...i definatetly could see that happening. But i dont understand it personally...i cant see Morrison going first, and with the Raps and Bulls both primarily looking to go for a big man, the likely hood of Morrison falling to them at #3 is pretty good. The only team i could see pushing for a the #1 and Morrison would be Portland....so in that case, i could see it.

I dunno....I'd love to see Knight on the team, but i dont want to get my hopes up yet.

I hope that the Raptors do that deal and get Knight, but I am afraid that he might not do as well with Toronto as he did in Charlotte, if he can manage anything around the 8.8 APG he did last season it would be great.

Then we can sign Jay Williams, and with the #3 pick we can get Bargnani, Morrison or Aldridge. We are guaranteed one of those three. The more realistic would probably Bargnani.

Then we can sign and trade Mike James for a good pick up or we can just let him slip and sign a FA that would suit the team like Garbajosa.

    PG Brevin Knight/Jay Williams
    SG Morris Peterson/Ukic
    SF Charlie V/Graham
    PF Bosh/Garbajosa
    C Bargnani/Sow

    6th man - Bonner

this is just in my opinion meh

This deal is ridiculously slanted for Toronto. We get a legit pass-first, defending point guard in Knight, get rid of Alvin Williams' contract, and still get a pick in the top 5. I think we would have to give more. Would Joey Graham interest Charlotte? I know they've been searching for a swingman.

Big mistake if Toronto trade Villaneuva, the guy has enormous promise (as shown in his 48 point game this season past) and to trade him away for a guy who has never proven anything and who's potential comes in rare glimpses, would be the biggest mistake the Raptors have ever made. Keep the Villan, draft Aldridge or one of the other available centres, and play C - Aldridge, PF - Bosh, SF - Villanueva, thats a big fearsome front court right there.

    this is an excellent trade

if this happens i will be looking for toronto to draft either morrison or foye/roy

knight is very capable but at the same time somewhat injury prone and i see him as a very nice trade bait in couple years

he is a true team player and leader and very underrated
not to mention his cheap pricetag

if this trade happens colangelo is a genius

CV31 for Dalembert? We trade away Villanueva, who is already better than Dalembert, and is on his rookie contract for Dalembert who is raw offensively and is going to get payed close to 60 million dollars? We have Colangelo now, not Babcock.
