<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Locke:</div><div class="quote_post">WHAT? Lamar Odom is worth the two picks plus KIRK HINRICH! The Lakers are seriously getting ripped off in the deal. In Odom, you have a future MVP and perennial All-Star, trading him for a top 3 pick and a near-lottery pick is way underevaluating his value.

If Elton Brand was traded for just the number two pick, then Odom deserves to be traded for #2, #16, and at least one young stud.</div>

Call me crazy, but I prefer Brand than Odom?

I think Locke was being sarcastic and making fun of Laker fans, but I'm not positive.

We can't trade Odom for picks. Odom is still to hit his peak and he proved he can play by picking his game up after the All Star Break. Against the Suns, he owned Marion all throughout the series and showed up in 6 of the 7 games in that series. He was my Laker MVP for that series without a doubt. I'm confident he'll continue that late run he had into the beginning of the new 06-07 season.
