The Lakers need to start selling Peja on LA. He would be a perfect fit in LA and would be a great replacement for George. Signed as a free agent he would cost LA nothing but money, and if they can give Krume Brown 8 or 9 mil then Peja is worth at least ten. He was an MVP candidate the year before last and would team up with Kobe and the triangle just perfectly the same way Steve Kerr did for the Bulls.[IMG]

get the hell outta here.... yall laker fans -- boy I tell ya. You were excited about J Jackson this season as a free agent-- what happened to him? You wanted a center who could pass and have a veteran influence like say Divac,-- what happened to him? You wanted a rebounder/defender who was a solid 15&10 guy to bring toughness> Brian Grant??-- yea what happened to him? Last season you said you needed some more players who could create their own shots such as Atkins and Butler-- what happened to them? You also we're relieved to have a solid 3pt and dunk finisher in Jumane Jones-- whatd yall do with him? The year before you wanted some veteran star players who were focused on winning the belt like uhh... Payton H Grant and Malone--- how'd you guys make use of them? You wanted an experienced shooter/scorer comming of the bench to help take pressure off of Shaq and Kobe such as that guy.. Richmond,-- what happened to him? You also signed a veteran guard who could play the 1 or 2, was a solid defender and distributer off the bench his name was Lindsey Hunter if I remember,-- what'd you use him for? We can go back to Glenn Rice, hell go forward to Kareem Rush(who since being waived in NC you also want back--suprise and shock on my face)

What in the hell is the pattern here? I guess I cant really say you dont know what you're doing though. I mean look at all the success you've had in the last 4 years. Esp as far as team morale goes; Peja should have a wonderful, productive and illustrious stay in LA---- because i'm sure the organization will appreciate him just like they did the rest of those guys

And we Laker fans have control of who stays and who goes right? hahahaha. Your a funny guy. Im beginning to like you.

I hated the Rice deal. I hated giving up Jones. I hated Shaq for Briant Grant. There are many other deals I didnt like, but we dont have any say for our team. We just come up with scenarios and talk about them. This is a forum right? Get your head out of you butt dude. Seriously. Dont come in here and mock the Laker fans about their threads they post here. Learn to be more objective or stay out of it.

Peja isn't what the Lakers need, he is pure offense and forgot to learn DEFENSE when he came to the USA.

I dont think we would make the playoffs if we had Peja, he is the most overrated player in history IMO.and aren't the stupid rumours of peja coming to the lakers a bit old, i seem to remember reading this kind of crap 2 seasons ago.

I've never been a huge fan of Peja....all he can do is shoot on offense, he doesn't play defense, and he's horrible in the clutch.....I think it would be wise if the Lakers (and every other NBA team for that matter) spent their money elsewhere.

I think we should pass on Peja, too. We need a speed guard. And a fearless slasher to pick up Kobe's slack when he's doubled or tripled would be great. Right now, Lamar is not that slasher.

Laker's "needs" over the last few years have seemed inexhaustible according to fans

And where do you expect us to get the money? I'm not trading Odom for some 6'9 center who has an impact on defense, but can't give you anything on offense.

I'd love Big Ben but Mamba is right. We need offense. Giving up Odom for Big Ben would do little to help the Lakers during their offensive droughts.

Big Ben will command BIG BUCKS. Something the Lakers dont have due to the salary cap situation. He was Defensive MVP! Mihm and George? haha. I dont think that will work out for a DPOY.

I THINK PEJA IS NOT A GOOD DEAL, HE LOKES TO SHOOT AND I DONT THINK kOBE NEEDS THAT, WHAT KOBE NEEDS IS A GOOD CONSISTENT CENTER THAT PROVIDES GOOD DEFENSE

Did you watch Kwame Brown at center, at all? He was very solid defensively. The Lakers need to put good, consistent players around Kobe...that simple. We need a defensive PG ala Banks, someone who can score in bunches and bring some energy off the bench ala Shannon Brown via draft, and another solid big man.

Brown was good in the phoenix series because Stadoumire was injured, but you may have a point in what lakers team need but they don't need a Peja, believe me that Kobe don't need that.
