I think having Peja will space out the floor.. Remember back then when lakers had Rice. He helped them win by making his 3s.. but that was when Shaq was the go to guy. I think what we need is a solid pg.

Indiana Pacers forward Peja Stojakovic opted out of the final year of his contract Monday, making him a free agent. The three-time All-Star, who said during the regular season he would take that action, was scheduled to make $8.2 million next season. The free agent negotiating period begins July 1, and teams can start signing players July 12. Pacers officials have said they want to re-sign Stojakovic, who was acquired from Sacramento for Ron Artest on Jan. 25. "We are going to see what's out there and listen to what other teams have to say, but Peja is the Pacers' to lose," Stojakovic's agent, David Bauman, said. "The contract he signed before was done as a restricted free agent, so he didn't really get a chance to test the market."

I'd rather use the MLE on Marcus Banks. We need a PG. We can draft James White and we have Lamar Odom.

Screw Banks. I don't know why we're making a big deal of him anyways. I'd rather sign Stojakovic than Banks. I just hope our good scout from Serbia Montenegro Vlade Divac will be able to pursuay Peja into joining the L.A faithful.

What are we going to do with Peja, he'll come off the bench. Lamar isn't powerful enough to play PF in the west full-time, he'll get eaten alive. I'd rather have Banks, Kobe, Odom, Turiaf, Kwame than Smush, Kobe, Peja, Odom, Kwame. Odom has no chance against Duncan or Garnett. He's not strong enough. I'd rather sign Banks, a defensive, quick PG and draft James White. We need athleticism, Phil's stated that many times. Peja doesn't bring any athleticism, and he's another defensive liability.

I wouldn't like Peja on the Lakers because he doesn't play much defense. I would like them to get some defensive players, and Peja would cost too much money anyway

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Trench:</div><div class="quote_post">And we Laker fans have control of who stays and who goes right? hahahaha. Your a funny guy. Im beginning to like you.

I hated the Rice deal. I hated giving up Jones. I hated Shaq for Briant Grant. There are many other deals I didnt like, but we dont have any say for our team. We just come up with scenarios and talk about them. This is a forum right? Get your head out of you butt dude. Seriously. Dont come in here and mock the Laker fans about their threads they post here. Learn to be more objective or stay out of it.</div>

I laughed so hard when I read this.

banks wasn't even good enough to crack a weak Boston back court, he is nothing. Peja would take DGeorge's place and add 10pts. We have no bench scoring or outside shooting. The Lakers need Peja.

I would love to have Peja as he brings that outside shooting that we miss. However, we have no space for him as long as Lamar is on our team. So I guess he's out of the equation unless he want's to come off the bench. If he's willing to do so and we can get him for something cheap like a $5m contract I'll take him.
