in a world that made sense- kevin garnett should become a bobcat. why? (1) lots of a cap room that could absorb the salary cap hit that would be kg's contract (2) jordan is the new prez; kg spent his high school days in chicago admiring jordan, therefore the mutual admiration (3) the cats have young, cheap talent which the twovles are in desperate need of to rebuild

    trade

kg, ricky davis, sixth pick for okafur, sean may, raymond felton and the third pick

    The Bobcats revamped lineup

    Brezec ©
    kg, ely (PF)
    gerald wallace, FA pickup (sf)
    ricky davis (sg)
brevin knight, marcus williams (sixth pick) (pg)

this team right here wins 50 games in the EAST.

How the hell is Garnett going to lead the Bobcats to 50 wins?

So Garnett should come to the Bobcats because they have a lot of youth, even though all of that youth is being traded in the deal for KG. Riiggghhtt.

Yeah all the youth would be going for KG and Kevin would be stuck in Charlotte with no real fans and Ricky Davis. When did you think of this one?

brezec is still young, marcus williams is a would-be rookie. and yeah kg and ricky didn't do much last year but their skills are augmented by depth in the bobcat scenario.

Garnett can't lead his team to the playoffs anymore without some serious help. This trade makes no sense for the Bobcats. They're better off without him. They have two solid big men in Brezec and Okafor, who, if he can stay healthy will be a defensive beast. They have a solid young stud PG in Raymond Felton and a solid defensive presence in Gerald Wallace. All the young team needs is some time to mature together and a solid young baller who can score from anywhere on the court at anytime he wants(Adam Morrison) and they're set for awhile.

First off KG has a massive contract that the bobcats probably don't want to take on, especially considering they only sold a little less than 10 000 tickets per game last year. And I think they are offering more tickets at a lower price this year.

So I don't think they could really afford KG's 20 mill per year, especially while giving up Okafor, Felton and May.
