Why would The raps pick aldridge? They have a great power forward already.

Some say he has the potential to play the 5 in the NBA.

Yay! You have Magic picking Rodney Carney! I seriously think he'd be the perfect fit in Orlando. Especially now that Stevenson opted out of his contract.

Because the Raps could get away with putting him at the 5 in the East. A Villanueva-Bosh-Aldridge frontcourt would be deadly in the future.

I disagree. I wouldn't be disappointed to get Carney(he'd be my 4th option behind Roy/Gay/Brewer). Carney forces a lot of shots and is pretty dumb on the court. He has all the skills and athleticism to be an impact player, but we definetely don't need someone who forces shots when we want Dwight, Jameer, Hedo as our top 3 options and potentially Darko as 4th option.

Solid mock, but why Leon Powe so early? I haven't seen a mock with him in the first round.

Randy Foye for the Rockets is a 95% NO

The Lakers were very impressed with Leon Powe, grabbing him with the 26th pick is not out of the question for them, I think.

Apparently the Lakers were impressed with him during a recent workout. He may not be what they need, but their are really no PG's that late in the round that would be much better than Smush Parker. If his knees hold up, Powe will be a solid player.

I wasn't sure about Foye going to the Rockets, but I think he will be able to be a good pass-first PG. Plus he's got a scoring touch and would easily be able to put up 10 PPG and 5 APG as a rookie with the focus of the defense mostly on Yao and T-Mac.

I don't know very much about Olexsiy Percherov. What type of player is he and why does he suit the Bulls?

I don't see the Knicks taking another guard, but anything is possible.

I've only seen a little bit of Percherov in action. From what I've seen/read, he seems like a poor man's Chris Bosh. Like most Euro PF's, he doesn't have a good back to the basket game, but he likes facing up and driving to the basket and has a good jumpshot. I think he would suit the Bulls, because Chicago could use some more scoring from the PF position, and Percherov is a skilled PF.

I see Brown moving Marbury to the 2, and having a pure PG like Farmar would help Marbury focus more on what he does best, which is score. A Farmar-Marbury backcourt would be pretty damn good offensively IMO.

Solid mock draft here. This draft is one of the more unpredictable ones I've seen so far. Hopefully as it comes closer it will clear some things up. There really haven't been any trade rumors yet or anybody that shows legit strong interest in a player. It would definitely be awesome to see Rajon Rondo's quickness in the Suns style of offense...
