who is the reason for the Eagles poor success?

was it mcnabb? not choosing to sit out when he was first injured?

is it reid? calling too many pass plays?

the strength of schedule? yes im making excuses for the hard teams weve played, but if ya cant beat the tough teams, tough luck.

or is it T.O.? he left the team terribly, there was also the whole thing in the offseason, so did they lose focus on the game to watch his every move?

    America, you decide!

IMO, I think it's just that the Eagles were on the business end of a media hype and were vastly overrated, and they weren't that good to begin with. But that's just me.

Like I said before, the Eagles just aren't that good. Let's leave it at that.

I agree, it is not anyone on the list, however without T.O their offense does look very weakened, if i had to pick anyone I'd say T.O

I don't like any of those choices. Every team goes through their ups and downs. The Eagles have been up for so long it's time to come back to reality a little bit. I would say the NFC East is to blame. They've just gotten better. Better draft picks will do that to you. Finding a good or right coach will as well.

I think its a lot of different things, but I don't think it is Reid. Depth isn't what it has been in the past. The offensive line is unimpressive. The defense doesn't get the pressure they used to, so the corners appear vulnerable now. They need a power runner - not to necessarily replace Westbrook, but to compliment him. They need McNabb healthy. TO isn't to blame for the ship going down, but he is throwing buckets of water into the boat, not out. The Eagles aren't coaching against Steve Spurrier and Dave Campo anymore. The other three coaches know talent and know how to win in the NFL. Teams will eventually figure you out, unless you have the creativity to change and/or the roster you need.

It's the Salary Cap and Player Age that are the problems...

As Porky said, the Eagles have been "Up" for years. But every year, the same players cost more and more money because they get later and later into their contracts. And every year, of course, is another year older for the player.

Tack on injuries, free agent losses and the T.O. Cancer, and you've got a recipe for disaster...
